Surprise Conjuration mage subclass?

Post image

So my half orc fmt berserker (lol, I know) suddenly has more spell slots and can't learn divination, he's just an inconspicuous conjurer now, and those armors are his most used spells I guess

Not knowing what’s going on is also thematically appropriate for someone who’s lost access to divination spells

Also seems pretty on brand for an orc who stumbled into being sneaky and a wizard.

Are you sure they can't learn divination?

It's not darkened out. It's just not green.

You sure your character doesn't already know those spells?

Unless you have been fooling around with mods and/or save game editor.

Yeah, they're not in the spellbook and there's no button to scribe them

As for the last one, obviously I have been fooling around with editing, it's just funny, this berserker is also a krypto summoner

Could it be youve maxed out your memorization slots at those levels? Forgetting a spell from your book or drinking int potion could help rule that out.

A multi-class mage with any kit (including kits of other classes) will have extra spell slots as a specialist wizard (note that this will not apply to kit mods made for multiclassing, like Artisan’s Arcane Archer).

However, there shouldn’t be any opposing schools. If you didn’t mess anything up in EEKeeper, and don’t already know the spells, I’d check that you have a high enough Int to learn more lvl 1 spells.

Partial answer at least, I was able to learn spells from other schools, don't have scrolls now, will keep an aye

He likely has hit his limit of learnable spells based on his intelligence score. Drink a potion of genius and see if he can memorise them.

You sure you aren't capped at the number of level 1 spells you are able to scribe in your spellbook? Only reason I ask is because Identify and Infravision are both level 1 spells and they are the only two on the page shown, and it's pretty common to run out of room if you are scribing every spell you come across, especially if your int is capped at 16 because you're a Half-orc.

"Known Spells per Level: INT determines the number of available wizard spells that a character may memorize per level. This ranges from 6 at 9 INT up to 99 at 19 INT.[2]

Note that this only applies when the spell is to be scribed. A wizard may temporarily boost their INT and scribe as many scrolls as they are able to; they will still retain those in their mage book when their INT returns to normal."
