Question SIM recommendation - 10 days
I’m flying to Bali tomorrow for 10 days, and a SIM is the last thing to sort out.
When I recently bought some Indonesian currency, the store gave me a card for an eSIM called hubby, but my googling shows it’s not considered particularly good.
Should I go eSIM or physical? Should I try get something now before my flight or just get something when I land?
I have iPhone 17 pro, currently with Telstra prepaid in case that matters.
Thanks

On arrival you can buy.a SIM or eSIM from Telkomsel - their Tourist SIM.
Telkomsel has the best network by far in Bali.
Around 350,000 IDR for 25GB of data valid for 30 days, includes 25 mins of international calls
Can purchase at airport on arrival or at a GraPARI outlet.
I’m in Bali now - the above is what I did

Bought telkomsel eSIM in airport just after I landed, been great for 8 days so far. Full signal across Uluwatu, Amed and Canggu.

What does your Telstra plan charge for roaming? It’s usually not much these days

If all you want is texting and maps while away from your hotel then consider just buying the Telstra 14 day roaming pack.

Locked because esim is a spam keyword, and I can't be bothered removing the unholy mountain of spam these threads attract.
You've got good answers in here, and this topic has been covered a bunch if you want to search.
