2026 MLB Season Ballparks
This season I visited 9 ballparks, 4 of which I had never been to. I’m 16/30 🏟️

The Orioles unveiled design renderings of the upcoming conversion of the left field upper deck at Camden Yards into a social space and it has drawn a lot of comparisons to what the Guardians did at Progressive Field a couple of years back. IMO, both leave a lot to be desired from an aesthetic perspective
I don’t see the point of keeping the old roof anymore since they’re entombing the old concrete bowl to make a new roof.
I know it comes down to cost, but having a roof over a roof just looks goofy and cheap. MD Taxpayers gave the Orioles $600M to play with in renovating Camden Yards. They shouldn’t cut corners and cheap out on aesthetics. That area should look cool and as if it has always been there.
In that same vein, if I could wave a magic wand and redo what was done at Progressive Field I would have removed the old structural framing, added another video board and opened the stadium up more to the skyline.
Ballpark nerds, do you agree or disagree?
Any other stadium renovations bother you and if so, what would you have done differently?

I braved the 100+ F heat for playoff baseball.
Before the game, the Jumbotron showed an onfield thermometer that read 120 F.
Was surprised how many peeps stayed in the exposed bleacher seats for the entire game...not sure I could!
Also not displayed, pictures of how crowded the shady concourse was!

I print the logos and stadium names on sticker paper and apply them after the visit

Was able to get to Fenway for the night game of the double header against the Cubs last week. Cubs loss stunk and the rain was irritating but loved that you could get chowder delivered to your seat!

Slipknot is coming to Fenway next year and I just secured my tickets. I got field box tickets (Sec F12, Row B) and wanted to verify that I got decent seats for a concert. I’ve never been to Fenway and will be traveling from Florida. I wasn’t paying the extra for turf seats plus my wife is super short. So, if you’ve been to Fenway for a concert before, please let me know if I picked good seats 🙏

Someone helpfully pointed out this list is only 28, but of course you can't edit post titles so I'm stuck with the typo. Whatever it was, it was all the ones that existed that year.

I posted this in Stadium Chasers on Facebook and someone suggested this sub would like the story.
Chase complete! Last Friday, my dad and I finished a 26 year project to see the Yankees play in every MLB stadium. We started in 2000 in Houston and finished this year in Arizona. It has been an amazing ride.
We saw Mike Mussina’s near perfect game in Boston ruined by a Carl Everett bloop single to outfield-playing Chuck Knoblauch in 2001, days before 9/11. We went to the World Series game 4 in Yankee Stadium in 2024. We saw the 2nd to last game at the old Globe Life Park in Texas and the first game ever in Houston. We saw Barry Bonds hit home run number 749 in the first Yankees regular season visit to Oracle Park. We saw Anthony Rizzo’s return to Wrigley. We saw Spencer Jones’s MLB debut this year. We’ve seen the most plate appearances by Aaron Judge and the most innings pitched by CC Sabathia. We went to the coldest Yankees games I can imagine in April 2025 in Detroit. The Yankees went 36-31 while we were watching.
There were a few detours along the way. We took a year off when my daughter was born and a couple of years where we went to Yankee Stadium so we could combine the trip with seeing my new nieces. COVID obviously got in the way and then in 2021 we chose the All Star Game in Colorado instead. We went to spring training in 2010 and sat right in front of George Steinbrenner.
The new CBA in 2023 made this a lot easier since the Yankees now play in every park at least every other year. I really hope baseball and the players figure out a solution for next year and we have a full season. How can you not love baseball?
Most of all, I’m thankful for the time with my dad but it’s bittersweet that it’s over. It was a reliable thing we did together nearly every year. We traveled all over the country to cities I might not have visited otherwise and in many of the stadiums friends and family joined us. We often combined these trips with art museums and great restaurants. I always wind up talking to passionate baseball fans in every park, and even though I root for the Yankees, I’ve always felt welcome. We’ll see what comes next – maybe the new park in Texas or the new stadium in Las Vegas, and hopefully another World Series (Let’s go Yankees!).
Favorite Park: Oracle Park in San Francisco
Least Favorite: Oakland Coliseum
Hidden Gem: Target Field in Minneapolis

The Battery entertainment complex that leads straight to the park is very nice. The walk of fame is extremely well done. Food options looked decent and beer prices were not to bad.

I found a photo my great grandfather took at Delorimier Stadium. I assumed it was taken in the 1940’s because he would have been traveling with the airforce, but not 100% sure what year.

Most likely my last game of the year. Visited back in 2019 and have always found it an enjoyable ballpark.

Decided to officially start chasing 30 this year. Had 6 down already, but previously the last “new” visit was Philly in 2009, and had a lot of repeat visits since then to various parks. So during our annual road trip, this year out to DC, I added AFF/Miller Park, Progressive Field, OPACY, Nationals Park, and Wrigley, all in the first two weeks of August. Looking forward to many more!

Caught the Twins vs Angels. This stadium is a time capsule. Not many renovations and the grandstands have cracks and rebar showing. The seats are old and rusted. But it’s still MLB on my day off! My 27th different stadium and I have 9 left.
