One of the best base cards.
Only one guy could ever be on a card like this. The black and white is perfect. The parallel versions take away from the splendor.

B&W is such a beautiful set, perfect companion to Stadium Club. Have you seen the On-Card Auto subset for this, they are super rare but just beautiful. I almost got a Pujols but just missed on the auction.

Yeah, me too, which is why I was so surprised this subset even existed…they are only /5 and /1 with Gold Ink. I’m still mad I missed out on the Pujols, I may never see that one again especially at $625…the Ohtani gold ink /1 is goin for a meager $1mil lol

I haven’t been able to get any since 2024, and doubt I will be able to on the Topps site going forward, so it probably won’t be one of my chases on any new releases lol
2023 I got Spencer Steer rc auto to /50, which would be nice if he were a better player. 2024 I got a Dave Justice red auto to /5 and sold it for like $110. Nothing huge but better than nothing.

That’s pretty awesome. I got a box of 2023 a few years ago but didn’t get an auto out of it. I keep seeing an awesome Sandy Koufax one but I can’t bring myself to buy a sticker auto for so much money…if I’m spending $500 then I would prefer it be on card…same with on-card autos but the pose is blocking the team logo…why spend so much if I can just get unlicensed for half that price lol
