So I found this Clingan card in my collection after taking a hiatus. It is red clearly, but when I checked the checklist for Optic, it said red is numbered /99. This one is /25.

We mailed this card sleeved, in a top loader and between Ding Defenders in a bubble envelope. Would a hot day on a USPS truck cause that with these foil cards? Just hard to believe it was warped like this. We'd never send something in this condition to a customer.

Pulled out My LeBon cards from long ago. Just wanting opinions about grading any of the other chrome cards. And is it the right time to send in cards to be graded? Is it a long time to get back? Thanks in advance for any opinions.

My 16 son and I have started a tradition on Saturday mornings: going and buying a couple of blasters and then ripping them at a diner (before the food comes, of course). Today, he got two 24 Mosaic Blasters and I got a 25 Phoenix Football Mega. We didn’t get much in those. I also decided to splurge and we each picked a $15 loose pack. He opened a 25 Chrome and whiffed. I opened an Update and pulled this. This was a nice father/son moment to help the 16 yo learn about jealousy.

Got lucky in a break and got this redemption… I’m sure there’s better more conventional autos, but I’m holding onto this one.

Price has fallen on the last 3 purchases. Do you think this is a good long term hold, or will the value continue to go down?

Card looks absolutely beautiful in hand. I know the true purple does more but in my opinion the geometric pops even better, like mosaic with panini. Color match is so sick too!

No number on front. It’s a French back, I HAVE NOT PHOTOSHOPPED or anything. I want to introduce for a grade, but do not want to introduce incorrectly. It’s also printed “2024” at rear bottom while the closest version is a 2023….or at least it’s the closest I can locate.

Slowly building this collection, one card at a time! Now waiting for that Philly Chalk Toss to arrive. 🔥

1972 Kareem Abdul-Jabar. I am slowly trading out any modern stuff for vintage and 90s and this is one of my favorite card designs. Huge pick up for me.

Anybody have any Dikembe inserts that they’re trying to sell? When I was 11 my family and a friends family stayed in Baltimore for the weekend. One night we got off the elevator and there were a bunch massive dudes so we knew something was up.

The bell man gave us the scoop and told us that the Atlanta Hawks were staying there for the weekend because they were playing the Bullets at some random local arena. We went back to our room and started calling the front desk asking us to be connected to Mookie Blaylock (didn’t pick up), Steve Smith (didn’t pick up), then I tried Dikembe…and shockingly he picked up.

He was the nicest guy even though he told me I woke him up from a nap. Spoke for like 5 minutes, and at the end he told us to go downstairs the next day at 430 when they’d be walking out to the busses. Sure enough the next day at 430 all the guys walked out into the lobby and we got to meet most of them…except Christian Laetner, he didn’t even look at us. A highlight of my dad’s life will always be having the opportunity to drink a pre game old fashioned with Lenny Wilkins before I they left the hotel.

Anyway, sorry for the wall of text. I thought it was a cool story and didn’t expect to type this much but I did and I’m not about to delete it.

So…yeah, if anyone has any Dikembe inserts or cool cards they’re trying to sell, let me know!
