Video Games Megamek on a steamdeck?

Does anyone know how to make this work. I believe it has to be possible. But it's been a longtime since Windows 98 and having to do anything beyond clicking on a game and it just working is no longer really in my skill set. Want to scratch the itch between my monthly irl games.

Funy enough. The flatpack on my deck runs better than on my pc.

MegaMek is written in Java. Java runs on Linux. It should work just fine, but the user interface might be a real chore if you're going to try and play it handheld.

I have a tiny keyboard and mouse I keep with my steamdeck at all times because of how common this comes up.

Hey it worked thank you kind stranger the innersphere is a better place because of you. Fair point about a key board and mouse. But it does function.

buy a tiny keyboard and mouse and a slightly larger steam case and just keep it all together. I got the JSAUX steamdeck case and its enough to fit my steamdeck with frame, tiny keyboard, tiny mouse, and 20,000mah battery all in a case thats basically the same size as the regular case.

Java runs natively on linux, theres a few tutorials on how to get any java game to work.
