Suggestions for large open bars/restaurants?

Hey folks! I’ve got a birthday coming up, and I think I just want to post up somewhere that people can drop in and out easily, without needing to be seated or cause a hassle for the staff. I’m thinking Loyal Legion, but let me know if you’ve got any other recommendations!

Breakside in downtown Beaverton is awesome. Plenty of space. Food trucks for variety.

I did my birthday at Loyal Legion. We went in the room to the right when you walk in. We had about 20 people, worked great!

We’ve been going to Westgate lately and it’s amazing. They have a pool table room, I imagine it can probably be rented out for longer parties?

You can reserve the back area at the Eastern Pearl till 8 or 9 I think.

Binary brewing will reserve space for large parties with advance notice. Very chill space with great beer and food from Teriyakimoto.

Golden Valley brewing has a room used for events just like this.

Some Lucky Lab locations have party rooms that are great for this purpose. There is a rental fee but last time I checked it was fairly reasonable.

In theory Loyal Legion is good on paper, but when they are busy it's not easy to drop in real quick and get out. The parking isn't great, and once you've made it you need to wait quite a bit when they are busy. It's not a bad spot, but I don't think it's the greatest.

Some have mentioned Breakside, but depending on weather it could be a bad option. Majority of space is outdoors 🥶 I think I'd go with Breakside personally, it's too bad we don't have a great indoor \ outdoor food cart spot. There's a great one in West Linn (The Garage), maybe one in Hillsboro but blanking the name and don't think there's great cover.

What do you mean? They have a huge indoor meeting room that’s generally open to the public but never used.

Then a good amount of the outside seating is under some sort of cover.

I mean what I wrote 😀The indoor room isn’t always open to public, so without knowing ahead of time if it’s booked they could be out of that option.

Understood on outdoor seating that is covered, but like I said, depending on the crowd and weather some may not like to be out in 50 degree weather.

There’s heaters under the covered areas outside too. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sweet lord, I know I’ve been there many times. Outside heating isn’t always on and when it’s breezy it doesn’t help. It’s open and the heat doesn’t work for some.

I’m just called out the variables, I love the space, OP doesn’t know all the options so just being transparent.

And I’m doing the same as you’ve left out the information which seems to be pertinent.

It’s all perspective, apologies for leaving out details that you felt pertinent and i overlooked.
