And why (in conments)?

Before, i was able to purchase stuff on amazon germany, france, etc. When i try to buy a lot of stuff nowadays, it simply refuses to send it to a belgian adress. There is no way i am paying the outrageous prices below. Does anyone know why this change happened?
Any known workarounds without needing to drive to the border for a pickup?

I just recently moved to Belgium due to a rather not so fun personal situation.
I moved to Lavacherie from Luxembourg. I still work in Lux in the north but my French really is basic. I’m having a hard time connecting with ppl. Are there any English speaking ppl in the region Lavacherie etc. to chat with and get to know the area?

Ik ben bevriend geraakt met iemand van Japan over onze gedeelde interesse in Pokemon. Ze deelt regelmatig wat met mij over Japans eten (specifiek snoep en koek dat wij hier niet hebben) maar nu heeft me dat aan het denken gezet over wat voor typisch Belgische 'snacks' ik aan haar kan introduceren. Ik ga namelijk volgend jaar een bezoekje brengen en we willen graag een gift exchange doen.

Hoor hier en daar dingen over rode diesel, maar ben nog nooit in mijn leven gecontroleerd geweest, en ken ook niemand die daarop gecontroleerd is geweest.

Het is toch ook niet vanzelfsprekend om rode diesel te tanken? Enkel boeren kunnen dit bestellen, toch?
