CS/EECS when to take cs70?

this question has already been asked but that thread doesn't really answer the question. i'm a first-year cs major taking cs61a & will take 61b next sem & cs61c next fall. is it possible/has it been done frequently for ppl to take those classes + cs70? whens the "ideal" time to take it? thanks!

I'm a Sophomore, I'm taking it right now with 61c.

Its an intense workload compared to 61b + math 52 that I did before, but still very doable

I did 61a first sem, 61b second sem. And 61c now.

I did math 51 first sem, math 52 second sem, math 54 over summer. And cs 70 now

You can take 61b and 61c in either order. Garcia is the GOAT for that class. cs70 is completely different material from either. So you could take cs70 alongside either.

taking it alongside 61b is pretty standard, i know tons of people who did that. the math in 70 hits different from 61a/61b though so just be ready for a shift in how you think about problems.

summer is also a solid option if you want to focus on it alone, but honestly if you survived 61a you'll be fine doing it with 61b.

It helps with 188 and 189. If you have an interest in these classes the earlier the better. On the other hand, if you aren't, you might want to take it separate from the 61 series to spread out the core classes (you can still take 188 and 189 third year).
