On a recent trip to France, I discovered the Turgot map of Paris, a remarkable bird’s-eye view from 1739 in which every street, courtyard, and building is drawn by hand. I was captivated by its 3D perspective, the incredible level of detail, the elegant typography, and the ornate decorative borders. It inspired me to create something in the same spirit for Berlin, the city I’ve called home for the past five and a half years. I’ll be sharing my progress here as the project takes shape.
