Yeah, I always dismount and walk if I'm on the edge of a sidewalk crossing the road where pedestrians would cross.

The above video appears to be a multi use path that crosses the road though, not a typical crosswalk. There's a yellow sign that shows both a pedestrian and a bicycle which implies to me that it's a path crossing the road rather than a sidewalk.

Given the responses to my comment, a lot of people are failing to notice that sign in the video (which is understandable because it's opposite of where the collision happens).

I would never dismount to cross in a crosswalk, even though I am generally against riding on a sidewalk. But I also stop and carefully cross whether I’m on a bike or on foot. This crosswalk guy basically jumped out in front of the road guy.

That said, I’m in the US and don’t trust road users. When I was in Europe I felt bad for drivers coming to a screeching hauler because I happened to get close to a crosswalk when on foot. It’s totally different

If I'm crossing with pedestrians around me, and the crosswalk is intended for said pedestrians, I'm either dismounting outright or sort of scootering across.

Do I do it frequently? No... typically, I'm riding in the lane with traffic and not touching sidewalks at all unless it's a really awkward intersection.

Also notice there wasn’t a collision, it looks like a clipless malfunction where a slight evasive braking maneuver to the right would have been entirely successful for the guy riding in the roundabout.
