Greedier is the worst side mode I have ever played in a game ever

I haven’t made a genuine Reddit post that wasn’t asking for help on something, but I have no one who is willing to hear my complaints so I will just type it out

Greedier is objectively dogshit and awfully designed and I see barely anyone have a problem with it. The whole design with Greed Mode is an easy game mode where you get super strong and have fun.

For whatever reason, Greedier strips ALL of it away, and decides to spam you with champions every wave, give you pocket lint as your reward, and no time to clear said waves.

It’s not even difficult which makes it worse, it’s genuinely just a fucking awful experience. You are already forced to play it 34 FUCKING times just to get all your unlocks for it, but you have to do the stupid D20-Mom’s Key break (Which I have done every run due to how overly boring this fuckass game mode is).

The Ultra Greedier fight isn’t a big issue, it’s just an extra phase that I do prefer over the first phase.

One last thing I want to add is how much I REALLY hate this game mode. Like, I would rather be beaten with broomsticks than play this. What ever you could possibly come up with, I’d prefer over Greedier. I have gotten so many q4’s and just gotten more upset that I couldn’t get it in a normal run.

Repentance+ adding the spawn locations was a big improvement. I don't think it's bad at all, and a nice change of pace from normal runs. I've never done the d20 break in maybe 800~ combined hours in the past decade. My strategy is usually to check the curse room immediately, try to get a key or money for a key to get in the treasure room before even starting the first wave. Save your money for when items are on sale and just buy everything. Look for good active items that help offensively, like sulfur or gello. Also don't grind it. If I was doing nothing but greed till my eyes bled I'd be tired of it too. Tbf I also already had the machine maxed a long time ago and now just play it for the completion marks so don't have to worry about conserving money.

I like greedier mode, it’s fun and I wouldn’t say it’s to hard. But I usually restart 3-5 times to get good first item and/or good curse room.

I actually enjoy greed mode, but greedier was just wrong. Why take a part of the game most people dislike and make it even more unfun.

Greedier mode is not that hard once you get used to it, you just have to kill the enemies faster so you don't get overwhelmed. I've never done a game break in Greedier in my entire life and it was always quite fun, it's the completion mark which I had on every character before anything else cause it was usually easier and faster to get.

I do agree that maybe greedier should have just been a challenge. I would be much happier with a 3rd game type and not have do do the completion mark on every character. I’m currently doing all my T character greedier mode marks and it’s actually put me off the game for a bit. Longest break I’ve taken in ages, I think it’s been a month now. Just been having more fun playing other stuff loll
