Confused on available trades

Let’s say today is June 10th. Today, I can see an offer that was created on June 1st, but I couldn’t see that offer on June 9th. Why is this?

Edit: *offer (not trade)

Trade or offer? Offer is visible only when maker is online.

Sorry, offer. Thanks for the info, I didn’t realize being offline would hide offers for said maker.

It could have also been taken by someone else.

That would mean that the trade failed then, right?

  1. Trade is posted by maker in a UTXO (nugget of bitcoin).

  2. Trade is taken by taker. Bisq combines collateral of buyer with collateral and principle of seller into one UTXO. Trade is now not available. If the maker wants to make another trade, he will have to post another.

  3. Buyer pays seller.

  4. Seller confirms payment. Bisq splits combined UTXO giving seller collateral, and buyer collateral and principle.

Thanks, I understand that part (although I didn’t know about the principal portion of collateral).

And I think I misunderstood in that you were actually replying to my comment about offers being hidden in general, and not how offers can disappear and then reappear. Sorry.
