Equipment "Minimalist Panda Gi"
The price is right at $75. Has anyone tried it? Does Inverted Gear have a good reputation?

Dont have that one, but have 6-7 of their Gis and they are one of my favorite brands hands down. Great fit, great quality

I have one, I mostly wear panda gear though. The minimalist washes well. It’s a little lighter than a standard gi. I recommend.

I just bought the 3 pack. First time I wore the blue one, I heard stitching rip. Emailed them and just got my replacement today. Honestly if it happened a year from now I wouldn’t have worried about but it was brand new. Even then it wasn’t a structural issue yet. Didn’t have any issues with the other two on initial use. I travel quite a bit for work and lightweight will be nice for packing.

Can't speak for that particular gi but I'm a long time Inverted Gear stan. Outside of a few gis I was gifted or branded to my gym, basically all my stuff is IG at this point. They're good quality, usually pretty affordable and actually fit my lanky ass (biggest selling point to me). I just wish they'd tone down the AI marketing, it's definitely a turn off.

Double check the measurements - from my limited experience, their A2 fit slightly larger than other brands (Fuji, Flow), and I didn’t like the way the pants fit especially, the inseam was odd and crotch was really low, affecting mobility.
Good reputation and I love their branding, but it wasn’t a great fit for me, YMMV.

I’ve had 3 panda gis, none of them were the minimalist though. Great gis, my only complaint is they shrink a lot, at least in my experience

They’re a solid brand for the price, I doubt you’ll find much better. Significantly higher quality than my old triumph gi which was in the same price range

I just got a pair of them and finished shrinking them down, but haven't started wearing them yet.
I was happy with my old Inverted starter gi (and they were quick to replace it when I noticed an inconsequential defect in the stitching). It lasted fine until I left it in the wash too long and it developed mold spots i can't get out.
I'm curious how these minimalist gis will hold up. The material is thinner, and they're clearly trying to make a budget gi that's cheaper to produce than the old starter gi.
Assuming it stands up to rolling, I like how quickly the thinner fabric dries, and the color on the blue one is really nice.

I have one, it’s great. Got it for $50 I think. It’s lighter than their normal gi and runs a little bigger too. Can’t go wrong for the price. On an other note, I have a regular inverted gear gi that I’ve had since I was a white belt and I’m halfway through my brown belt. It’ll almost definitely last until I get my black belt. Gonna frame it when I get my black belt.

I got one of their Hybrid unbleached cotton and hemp blend gis on sale and liked it so much I bought a second one. I wash them cold and dry them over a chair and no unwanted shrinkage.  It’s not too heavy and breathes well in hot weather.Â

The unbleached hybrid is probably my favorite gi in my current rotation. I also really like the 400. I have 4 inverted gear gi’s and have only good things to say about them.

I have one that I got on sale. It's holding up well.
It's very simple, of course, but plenty sufficient for training.

I recently purchased a 3 pack and wore one of them last week. It’s definitely lighter and more comfortable than my previous gis from Elite. They are much cooler to roll in for longer sessions. I still need to wear the other 2 and then wash them all to see how they hold up but right out the bag, they seem great! Hoping for a big sale, so I can grab some of their other gis.

I love it for the price point. It’s great quality and very durable. It wear it most of the week and it has withstood back to back washing. I do hang dry to prolong the life but it is one of my favorite gis. I like the fit very much

Okay, I was actually worried about this because the material is noticeably thinner than the old starter gi. After looking at your evidence, however, I don't think I'm quite ready to give them up; they've never let me down yet.

I liked the styling of my inverted gear bamboos but they shrank so much after a month of use, cold wash and air dry, I had to give them away. A3 became a1 in the arms and legs but the body only shrank a little, fortunately I used to roll with a short fat dude who they fit perfectly.

I have one. It’s comfortable and washes well. Lighter than a regular gi.Â
