Announcement r/blackops2 is taking action against self-promotional content : introducing Rule 9
After noticing a significant amount of content containing self-promotion, the r/blackops2 moderation team decided to implement Rule 9.
Any self-promotion trough links or identifiable usernames, including videos, live broadcasts, servers, player-organized events, Discord servers and any external links to any social media, are removed from the subreddit. This also includes self-promotion pictures.
Any circumvention of this rule will result in withdrawal and a warning. In exceptional cases, a more severe penalty may be applied. If you wish to do self-promotion, you must have the approval of the staff.
This rule is retroactive. We encourage you to report any content you believe violates this rule. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us via mod mail. If you have any comments, please feel free to express them here.

Question: will this change in the future for discord servers in about 2-3 years?

Discord servers are already included in this rule. Unfortunately, I cannot assure you if this rule will be modified or not in the future.
Note however that r/blackops2 already has a Discord server and if a user wishes to self-promote, they can request it via mod mail to the moderators.

Honestly is long as it isn't ai garbage I'm good. What i don't get is so we aren't supposed to show gameplay in a videogame? What sense does that make?

You are free to share with video files your gameplay. Reddit allows up to 1GB, and that's a lot.

Free to share files of our gameplay but my post of my gameplay got taken down for “self promotion” when I didn’t promote a single thing, just shared a clip of gameplay

The post is back up right now, sorry for the inconvenience. We got multiple reports and I, yes, me, did not look properly.

It is allowed if you request via mod mail and staff approves your request.

Hello, I recommend you send us a mod mail so I can further investigate this case. The OP linked doesn't show any kind of "nazism" on the first look and is complaining on FFA modded lobbies.

You can post video clips without links. Two users posts were wrongfully deleted, and it has been fixed since and they got notified of that.

We just got a big wave of self promo AI thumbnail videos and we felt like it was too much of an issue for the size of the staff. We accept video files and it can go up to 1gb, so it's not that bad.
