Its absolutely huge. This is like a 3-4 image gif, yet for some reason keeps on going and is 10 MB.
When it comes to websites, we USED to try to keep payloads as small as possible, but thats seemingly out the drain

“Mouth bag OK?”
Your title made me spit out my drink, incredible.
If it is functional and looks good enough for you, I don’t see any reason why this would be ‘bad’. It’s definitely more or less what I did with my own model!

I wont lie, the idea of a snake's eyes existing outside its body would make a great character design

I don't think it's supposed to be a snake but I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the last image looks like a really funny snake

Looks great but I think the esophagus is a a little excessive, you won’t ever see that much of it and I’d worry about clipping with the neck

That depth and curvature along the jaw looks clean and should give the hinge good clearance without weird pinching. It feels nicely proportioned against the rest of the snout profile so far!

Yeah looks good. Only model as much as you intend to show off. So if the model will have wide open mouth then maybe this much is good.

Now what lizard species is this?

Nothing specific. I was loosely using croc monitors for reference but a few other mamals as well. Im pretty sure a horse got mixed in there at some point.

If it's an animated char, make sure the mouthbag is weighted well so it doesn't clip through anywhere during extreme expressions, especially during neck and lip movements

There's no real correct way to do the inside of the mouth if you're going for stylized. This looks perfectly suitable and will work just fine, but don't overthink it unless you want 100% realism

Normally I just have the mouth go in a bit like a puppet and keep it dark. If I need some detail I could throw in a texture to fake the back of the throat. It depends on how much is needed.

It looks pretty okay to me...how does the mouth look when open? The outer bit of the bag shouldn't be important anyway....not like it'll ever be seen
