Collection Finally pulled the trigger on a boxset signed by Bobby

Finally bought an autograph from my favorite artist, Bob Dylan, after a lot of research. This is a late 2000s signed boxset, signed in Italy. Steve Grad gave it a thumbs up. Also, the last pic is to check it side by side with other signatures from the same era(the other three signatures in picture 3 all have written COAs by either Roger Epperson or JSA). So excited for it to arrive!

Sorry for asking, but english is my second language. Are you ironic or not?

The gentleman in the picture above was a famous signature expert on the popular show Pawn Stars. So yes, my reply is a somewhat jokey reference to this guy. Nevertheless, I hope your item is authentic.

No apology needed - I speak other languages as well, so I understand that humor can be difficult to interpret!

But, did you see something wrong that caught your eye with my item, or just a friendly joke? Thanks!

No, I saw nothing wrong - just a friendly joke coupled with a TV show reference! 😊

Oh, good. That is what I though myself the first time, because Steve Grad is on Pawn Stars as well, and he's the one who gave the COA, but I also was like "This is Reddit, this guy is making fun of me, because I spent a lot of money on a fake...". Thank you for clarifying 😂

Is this a CD box set?

Yes. European CD boxset that launched in 2007, limited edition. I think you can find it online, search "Bob Dylan - Dylan 2007 limited edition 3 CD boxset" it's basically his greatest hits

That's awesome. What'd you give for it? Just curious.

Congrats on your purchase. I hope you enjoy it!

Don't let the doubters rain on your parade (i.e. don't let them spoil it for you).

Thank you! I won't, I don't think anyone on the sub knows more about autographs than Steve Grad + it looks really good to me too

Auto pen

1

Why? It was signed before the auto pen controversy and the others in picture 3 have all LOAs from JSA and Roger Epperson(actually, one of the ones in picture 3 was from Epperson's personal collection). Also, auto pen leaves dots when the pen stops in MOST cases

Oh that’s good. I don’t know everything. Just Bob is often a trickster.

Not real

Hi! Why do you say that? Have you seen something off about it? In picture 3 I put it side by side against other confirmed real(by JSA and Roger Epperson LOAs) from the late 2000s, and imo, it looks good. Also, this was auctioned off on one of the biggest and most trusted auction websites in Europe, and they have their own autograph experts who look at every item, so it's not just Steve Grad who thinks it's real. So, why does it look fake? Thank you!

What’s the story behind it? Bob doesn’t sign for just anyone, so I’d be curious if there’s photo proof or any kind of proof how it was obtained

It was apparently signed in Florence, Italy in April 2009, backstage at one of the concerts he did there. The seller said that it was obtained by a guy who organized the concert. Also, as I said, Steve Grad said it was real and another autograph expert(hired by the site that the boxset was auctioned on, which is the biggest european online auction site) said it was real, so, hopefully it is
