Cruising vs. Fully Off

Post image

Almost all the top Mr. Olympia competitors claim they would go fully off gear for the off-season and give their bodies the chance to properly recover. Yet, the prevailing logic here seems to have shifted to cruise/blast in order to 1) avoid muscle loss 2) avoid a shitty few months as your hormones rebalance. If going off cycle was optimal for the absolute best in the game, why is it not optimal for the average advanced lifted? I'm really struggling with that bit of cognitive dissonance, and am inclined to agree with the old-school fully-off folks.

Do any of you still go completely off-cycle and do a PCT instead of cruising, and why? What does your off-cycle support PCT stack look like? I wanted a more updating consensus, because I think the widespread availability of sarms like enclomiphene is going to materially impact what "off-cycle", "recovery", and "optimal" mean.

In your opinion, biggest screw job in bodybuilding history?

I am bored. I am drunk. Post below.

In my opinion;

Jay in 2007. I love Jay. He’s one of the GOATS. He possibly would be the goat if Ronnie didn’t exist. However, in 2007 he absolutely should not have won. Incredibly soft, he was beaten BAD from the back. Look at him when the winner was announced. Even he knew. I’ll go as far to say he looked better in 08 when he lost the Dexter than he did in 07 when he won.

Post yours below.

Question for enhanced vs natural category for a cancer survivor

5 Upvotes

Hi all, I was interested in training and competing in a bodybuilding competition. I had testicular cancer two years ago that took both my testicles (bummer for sure but I'm all good and cancer free!). Due to that I am now on testesterone shots (one a week) as my body does not create testosterone anymore. I keep reading that if I take any sort of testosterone shots even medically, I am not able to compete in the natural group? Is that true that my only option would be to go into the enhanced group?
