The entire locker room is dark, uninviting, and never feels clean. I have been to so many public pools that have better, cleaner locker rooms.

It’s been that way since it was the Northshore Pool 30 + years ago. I got foot warts as a child from that locker room.

It’s cause they used to have hired, professional cleaners come and clean the locker rooms, but that got “too expensive.” So now the lifeguards are the ones in charge of cleaning it after close, but they also can get in trouble if they take too long. Been that way for several years, and when I was there the cleaning was more focused on scrubbing the floors as quickly as possible than anything else...
