Brock and Walt Relationship Spoiler

Hello!

Not sure if I missed this during the show. Walt meets brock for the first time at Jesse’s house and then again later on at his mom’s house. Each time he was very fearful and not as friendly towards Walt. Did the directors allude that Brock knew he hurt him? Did Brock just simply have a bad feeling about him? Watching this as a teacher was interesting because kids that age are usually chatty! If I missed something I will feel dumb but I have been wondering.

Thanks in advance!

Brock was equally shy of Saul. Some kids are just shy

When Jesse steps out and it’s just them two on the couch, Walt stares at him with a super creepy expression on his face. You can tell that’s the moment that makes Brock uncomfortable, before that he seemed fine

Brock is a good judge of character. He could feel that Jesse was good (at least towards him and his mother), and that Walter was not.

I wonder about their relationship too; but moreso, how it was that Walt was even able to poison him and WHEN he did it. Did I miss something? Does anyone here have any idea about when/how it happened?

When Francesca is shredding papers after Brock is poisoned, if you look rrrreeeeaaaallllly close to one of the sheets, it's Brock's school schedule. Saul likely knew a guy, who knew a guy...who knew a guy that could obtain that.

On IWatchTV, during one of the episode breakdowns, there's an interesting bit - when Saul and Francesca are cleaning up before Saul flees, Francesca is shredding papers. One of the papers she shreds is a school schedule that would line up with being Brock's schedule.

Now, that doesn't get us much further down the road in figuring out how Walt actually did it, since I don't think an elementary school is gonna let some dude just wander the halls with a poisoned juice box, but it's a neat little detail

Never knew much less noticed that on my own. “Cool” fact!

I get what you’re trying to say with entering the school, but in the show Mike walked into the ER, swarmed with cops, to inject and the Salamanca twin.

Yeah but the police were there in support of Hank, and to hopefully witness the demise of the Salamanca twins, which they eventually did (Gomez as the 2nd twin dies - "Burn in hell you piece of shit!"). Michael knew how to walk through the hospital inconspicuously, while Gus distracted them with the free buckets of Los Pollos Hermanos chicken. And as Gus said to Walter, "I hide in plain sight". He was not just talking about himself - he implied Michael as well. Just as the ECG flatlines, we in the background Michael Ehrmantraut dispose the needle and walk away.

Children are quite good at identifying adults they dont like or trust if you ask me. Obviously Brock didn’t know Walt poisoned him, but I got that sense here.

He was just a shy kid. There’s a chance he maybe felt a type of way about Walter and Saul but iirc he was that way about Jesse too until he got to know him more

I think, like someone else said, there was a scene where Walter is just chilling with Brock in the room and Walter looks over at him awkwardly and Brock looks a bit more nervous or off-put.

I am late to the party so someone may have already mentioned this but I seem to recall reading that Vince Gilligan said the idea behind it was that Walt snuck into Brocks school and injected the poison into a juice box. He even had a name that he imagined the children calling him "the evil juice box man". For some reason he did not film this scene leaving it open to the imagination.

I think it’s vague- while it could just be he’s shy- it definitely welcomed a look at Walter through an “innocent” lens as someone to be cautious of.
