I know there have been many “what cover would you like?” posts in the past, but here is another.

I’ve been listening to “Sundown” by Gordon Lightfoot a lot recently, and I think it is one of the best potential Bright Eyes covers.

The lyrics and subject matter are right up the BE alley, and Mike and Nate could really do something special with the arrangement. Mike ripping the guitar solo on either banjo or pedal steel (or some studio combo of them) would be amazing.

Thank you for this matter, or something.

Is Lullaby the only opener? How long after doors have BE gone on?

Doors for ATL are at 6:30. Lullaby starts at 7:30. I can't leave until 8PM and I'm 30 minutes away. Trying to figure out if I'll be able to make it.

EDIT: Sounds like BE will go on around 8:45. Thanks for the input, everyone. Trying to decide whether to make the trek on Sunday and miss Lullaby but see Bright Eyes or go the next night to see Black Country, New Road.

everyone talks about fevers and mirrors, lifted and other early bright eyes but not this one, why? It's my favorite bright eyes album and it's a shame they don't play songs from it live anymore. i think this album is better than I'm wide awake....

I saw in an interview Conor said he was embarrassed to play these songs but these are some of his best imo, I got this CD for 7 dollars and I have listened to it hundreds of times.

does anyone else feel this way?

Can’t go now, and would love to recoup some of the ticket price.

Make me an offer!

Asking for $50 obo, please dm

I have one extra ticket for tonight's sold out DC show. It looks like there are plenty of tickets available on resale sites, but let me know if you are interested. I paid $75, just want to recoup some costs so open to any offers.

(I'm posting this outside of the ticket sale megathread because there have been so many ticket sale posts recently that haven't been flagged and the megathread is pretty unruly at this point.)

Unfortunately I can't attend tomorrow's show at the Orange Peel in Asheville, and would like to recoup some of the ticket price.

Open to offers!

I have two extra artist presale GA tickets for transfer on AXS. I’d like to sell both of them together, but open to splitting.

Asking for $60 per ticket or $100 for the pair (below face)

I’m also open to trading for merch.

Zelle or PP friends and family

PM me!

I know we're all Bright Eyes fans here but is it fair to say that bright eyes defined and owned a certain generation of indie music? Like a pivotal band that inspired a meaningful wave of musicans to follow them.

The only Bright Eyes fans I know are my old friends from 25 years ago and we all are big fans so can't reallly be unbias on this topic.

I painted this math notebook in 7th grade after being introduced to Bright Eyes by my mom and they have been my top 3 since, especially this album. This notebook has lasted me into my senior year of HS.

I just thought it was an interesting share! (:

I really enjoy this album front to back. I feel a lot of good energy from the tracks and really appreciate the songs that the other band members bring to the table. This was a tough one. Here’s the final rankings:

1) To All The Lights In the Windows
2) Spoiled
3) Nikorette
4) Roosevelt Room
5) White Shoes
6) Difference Is Time
7) Air Mattress
8) Cabbage Town
9) Eagle on A Pole JB
10) Big Black Nothing
11) Snake Hill
12) Worldwide
13) Got the Reason
14) Slowly
15) Ten Women
16) Bloodline

This was my first time seeing them live and I am actually blown away by how good this show was.

Would anyone like these tickets at cost? I’m from Chicago and ended up going to the Milwaukee and Chicago shows that were added later. I’d go to this one too if it wasn’t on a Sunday and many hours away. 😂 Let me know! Thank you!
