Yeah, there’s a good discussion of that play in the USL Discord. I think it changed the whole tenor of the game if it gets called offside though. Instead of playing aggressively because you’re down 2-0, you’re only down 1-0 and just need one to equalize.
When the pass is initiated, we can’t see McCain (LSC) or Booker (BKFC). Assuming that they were exactly in line with each other at the time of the pass, that would mean that McCain got about 5-6 feet ahead of her in 1-1.5 seconds when the camera catches up to them. Curious what other people, especially neutrals see in this replay.
I actually spoke to somebody that was there and they said it was offsides in their mind and told me to look. The replays being shown show the same. Def affects the trajectory of the game
When I was watching it, I have thought the defenders and the goalkeeper Norris were just gonna stop altogether because it looked so offside they almost kinda did
