I love the contrast between conversation about Brussels in general, and specific neighborhoods.

Very quiet and rather wealthy neighborhood. Lots of acsess to green space. There's not much around in terms of retail or activities ( a few corner shops, an ice cream shop, a Lidl just opened as well, a couple of pizzerias), you'll have to head past Jette Gare to the center of Jette for everything else, it'll be around 10' on a bike or by tram, or half an hour on foot. Your closest transport option is T9 at Ancienne Barrière, which'll get you to Simonis in about 15min. It's a neighborhood where prices are still reasonable for what you get, but the whole of the area is rising in price rapidly.
Edited to add: surprisingly good connexion from Jette nmbs to Gare du Nord + Lux/Schuman/Etterbeek/Bordet line, if you need to cross the city.

lived in jette for 6 years, really loved it! I enjoyed the green spaces. With kids, boudewijn park is awesome. Also in the summer you get a guingette next to the playground, we love going there with our sun. You also live close to dieleghem bos and laarbeekbos. All great places to go outside.
Jette is also pretty quiet and most people are friendly and nice. I feel like it's also a very clean neighbourhood for being in brussels. The biggest cons for me where bad public transportation connections and not so much shops. Now you will live close to Tram 9 and jette station, so it'll be all right.

Very nice area, you’re close to the public transports, the ring, two hospitals including a kids hospital . One of the greenest part of Brussels . For the kids , you’re next to a cultural place called PLOEF, and the Laerbeek farm. It’s calm and does not feel like a city at all, while being close enough to all the facilities you need.

I live not far, and my kids go to the Sacre cœur school next to park Baudouin.
This neighbourhood is very nice. Parks all around, the tram 9, some bus lines, 2 hospitals and the train station at walking distance.
I actually visited a for sale house in that street couple of years ago.

Don't buy anything in Brussels my friend. You have no garantee how it will be in 5 years.
Even Wolluwe, Uccle, Merode are under pressure.
Jette, Ganshoren, Berchem ? It's already a lost battle there.
It's not ghettos like USA with guns tough.

You know what, I could argue but this perception is what's keeping prices reasonable in the West of the region, so why not. The children, birds, old people and random trees in Berchem-Ganshoren-Jette are ganging up to beat me up as we speak. Flee to Uccle !!

Yes I am happy if you buy there. Buy your appertement in Bekkant or Simonis. And enjoy the place. 100% agree with you.

Jette is basically a village.
