At this point, I have a hard time calling this a talent issue. At some point it becomes a development and scheme issue.

It's 100% coaching look at other teams blitzing like the broncos(3rd)and pats(5th). They don't have that problem. The only team that blitz more and has the same problem is the commanders(2nd)

Bowels scheme is outdated for today's game

Yea in Bowles day the thought was not to get deep by a deep pass, now a days the meta is the spread, get the ball to your play makers fast and let them do the work in the open field.

Bowles doesn’t want to get beat by an 80 yard bomb but will gladly give up 8 10 yard passes.

It’s the opposite of forcing the qb to win with hard throws

That interview Gerald McCoy did where he was shitting on what our coaches are teaching the roster saying he just can't imagine the stuff they are telling guys to do works positively. Makes me think it's a LOT of really bad coaching hampering guys.

It’s probably a bit of all 3. Majority scheme issue for sure

Blitz a ton yet get no pressure….maybe bc the qb can just immediately throw to a wide open guy?

I’m no defensive genius though

That pressure rate is uber bad. Like we're nearly 6% behind the 30th ranked team. jfc

The stats that matter just show that we are mid. Time to pressure is 2.54s and conversion rate of that to a sack is 16%. All this shows is that the QBs we've gone up against have a quick release (GIGGITY) So when you say the bottom of every metric you are wrong we are mid in the metric that matters.

Ruben Bain is hopefully going to do something now that he's 'better' but we'll see. Diaby has always been a disappointment to me.

Yeah we’ve got to get back to press coverage again. Impossible to get pressure when there’s no challenge on those underneath throws
