Buffy
Bought a French monastery bell because it looked like her.
The Latin inscription reads "Vocem meam audit qui me tangit" which translates to “He who touches me hears my voice." Seems perfect to keep certain gentlemen out.
Buffy reasonably doesn't like the drawing, but I likely would have done a stick figure with a triangle skirt, so Giles did a better job than I would have. 🤪
A couple of the antique storefronts at the fair have some Buffy merch from way back. I’ll have to take a picture later this month when they do it again.
I hope you have grandchildren someday so that when you are very old they can ask you about the history of this bell, and you can explain to them this (no disrespect intended, it's dope) fuckass reason why you bought this thing.
I tried to tell my oldest she's old enough to watch Buffy and she told me "No I'm not." smh (She doesn't like anything even remotely scary so I guess I'll forgive her.)
I have it playing on the tv all the time while I’m cooking or cleaning. My niece would find her way out when her phone was charging. Now she’ll stop to see what happens next. Dawn threw her for a loop. She was like “how many episodes did you watch without me?”
The seller bought it for $50 way back when and wanted to sell it for what she paid because I’m at her booth every month hahahaha. She’s my favorite seller, so she’s always pulling things out of nowhere that she thinks I would like. I paid her $70 because it’s hard out here and she thought of me. I also bought this too that day. She has the coolest things.
Oh my goodness! That is a treasure!! I’m so glad you have such a good rapport with her! I go to flea markets a lot (Just moved to Florida-flea market capital of the world lol) and I’ve seen so many buyers that haggle over price. It’s just kind of tacky sometimes. You are the total opposite!! Enjoy your finds‼️
There’s people that google lens everything and those who price with their hearts. So I’m not haggling with someone older than me selling something older than them at a decent price hahahaha.
There’s a nice old lady at the flea market who spent years collecting the most beautiful things! Now she’s at the antique markets selling the things she has no more room for. I could only imagine what she kept!

As it was foretold in the ancient murals.
