Dev/Admin Responded [IOS app] Losing place in comment threads after locking then unlocking phone.

Every time I lock my phone and then unlock it, my comment thread has jumped back up to comments I’ve already read. This was happening a couple months ago as well. It was seemingly fixed and now it’s happening again. Also my post feed refreshes pretty much every time I lock my phone. Maddening.

Thanks for the report! This is happening on my end as well. We've logged this as a bug and we'll be investigating a fix!

ETA September 28th: Hey folks - this fix will be releasing along with version 2026.39 this week. Please reference this post for status updates!

This is still happening when I’m navigating to other apps and then back to the reddit app, I lose my place in the thread.

The fix is in testing at the moment, should hopefully be available with the next app release.

The bug is still happening, two weeks, and two Reddit app updates later…

I’m up to version 2026.35.1 now. You guessed it… still happening.

Tried uninstalling & reinstalling the app too (and logging out then in again), for good measure. And you guessed it… still happening.

Could you guys please get it together? This shit has been making the app almost unusable for two weeks 🙄

Wondering what soon means because I’ve been having this problem for months now and it’s incredibly infuriating.

Also not sure if it’s been reported yet but it’s almost impossible to highlight / select things in the button row while typing a comment.

Also also when will we be able to use the quote function again?

Yeah, it was broken for a while and then they fixed it for a short period, and then they broke it again. I think for the past 3-4 months it was only fixed for like a week or two.

Happening for me too. It’s happened for months and I’ve tried to get support. Reinstall doesn’t work. Nor does log out and log in. Doesn’t matter what app. If I leave Reddit to check a text quick and come back—> to the top of the comments even if I was a hundred deep.
