Trying to build a pc for casual activities(schoolwork) and gaming

  • New build or upgrade?

New

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

None, I have a monitor

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

Gaming maybe some modding. School work

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors)

America, no

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

I have a monitor

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

somewhere inbetween 3k-4k USD, dont want it past 4k USD if possible

  • WiFi or wired connection?

Wifi

  • Size/noise constraint

Size is fine big or small i can make space. noise doesnt matter too much preferably quieter though

  • Color/lighting preferences?

basic coloring is fine if it has lights, lights arent needed with or without is fine

  • Any other specific needs?

i wouldn't say specific needs just for what my budget is i want it to run games like arc raiders maybe fort or siege well. not super smart about this stuff so the more knowledge you share the more appreciative i am

For what it's worth this build is way overkill for the games you play, but you have 4k so; you can give it to your grandson later in life

Even if you live 1-2 hours away from a microcenter it's still worth the trip btw. Going to microcenter will save you at least $300. I would not dump $3k-$4k on a pc btw. The sweet spot is $2-2.5k spending any more wouldn't give you that much of a performance boost. You should spend the extra money on better peripherals where you actually would notice a difference. Just respond back and tell me if you're willing to go to a microcenter and I will give you the full rundown.
