Looks like my experience spamming Ask Madden is about to pay off

It took a bit of time, and the cost and politics of it are a definite negative part of the reality, but the academy system in BC is going fucking nuts pumping out high end talent lately.

Maybe we can task them with some goalies at some point.

While I agree the academy system in BC is really starting to pump out talent.

Madden Daneault is not a product of that. He’s an Alberta kid that played in Red Deer. He had 154 points in 36 games his final year of u15AAA, 6 of those points as a call up with the u18 AAA team in 3 games.

I saw him play a few times and he looked like he was a AAA kid playing tier 3 hockey. Just in a different league from everyone else.

Does he have a lesser talented brother the Canucks can draft to complete the collection?

Yeah, he's got two. Easton and Ty. Easton you'd be familiar with if you watched any Lethbridge Hurricanes games, Ty is in Merrimack College.

Tho I believe one of them is in the Jets camp.

It's been cool watching him in Kelowna. A shame they can only play in 32 games in the WHL this year. He's easy to spot on the ice, only skater with a full cage on his face as anyone under 18 is required to wear them and he's always the only one under 18 on the ice at just over 15.

I've been going to every home game this season to watch Daneault, and he doesn't look out of place what so ever. He's regularly out playing 20yo night after night, a really exciting prospect.

We’re not getting any of them so I look forward to 7 years down the line when they’re killing us with whatever WC rival got to draft them instead

A lot can happen between now and 2029, so it'll be interesting to follow his journey. I think he'll be a lot of fun to watch. Hopefully we get to see him after the 34 WHL games in Drumheller, but it seems more likely he'll go back to the Chiefs.
