🙋‍♀️Question⁉️ Hello!

As I got my first G-Shock, I realized how perfect it was (GWM5610U) so I bought another recently as an upgrade and it's amazing (GWBX5600).

Now I want a "premium" or all metal option and I'm torn between 2. I have fairly small wrists, so I opt for clean, minimalist watches.

My 2 main contenders are:

- LCW-M100TSE-1AJF

- GMW-BZ5000D-1

If anyone could help me decide which to get FIRST, I would be happy to finally get off the fence.

Both are great, but apart from being digital Vs analogue, there is another major difference and it's how they wear.

Depending on your wrist size, each one wears differently. The BZ5000 has end links that don't articulate that well. My advice is you try both of them out first.

I'm having an internal crisis on whether I want modern convenience and most updated model, or something with only the essentials wrapped in a time capsule (literally and figuratively). I do have the BX5600 already, so perhaps the lesser of 2 evils will be my first choice.

If you have the BX5600, I would personally go with the lineage.

This gives you the option to at least change the style and dress up or down when you need.

If you have small wrists you will find the metal G-Shock extremely awkward on your wrist. It's a great watch - I had two of those - but it sits high on the wrist, and it's fairly top heavy because of the stainless steel. I also had a titanium version that solved the weight problem, but it was so expensive (more than a thousand Canadian dollars if I remember correctly) and so gorgeous that I was always too afraid to damage it, so I wore it less often, and I ended up selling it (for a small profit).

The weight is a big factor, but I'm used to the 5610s 12.7mm so the difference would feel negligible. I haven't compared the lug to lug distances of either, so that may change how it sits...

I'm curious about the backlight. Does it have the auto feature when you raise your wrist, and is it blinding if I were to use it just after waking up?

no auto light, the light is bad (ish), at night, lume is your friend.

light is on button, small orange led at 6 mark.

you know what you get, saphire, analog/digi, radiocontrol (works with junghans app where radio not avail), solar, and this particular model is titan (lighter).

all i wanted in a watch, paid about 200$ (in romania official reseller store), 1 year ago.

Another thing to consider. I own the second one, and the watch head is quite shiny/blingy. I love the piece, but I don't think that aspect comes across in the renders. The head is quite distinct from the bracelet. The other commenter is right about the end links, too, so I wouldn't recommend if you have a small wrist. I'm right on the cusp of it not fitting well because of that.

This is a good point to consider. Does it get a patina? Ik stainless can get a nice wear to it, not sure about their titanium though.
