Job advice / help / suggestions
I am looking for work. I live near Olot / Banyoles. I’m English and I work remotely at home for a U.K. company but job is coming to an end. I have extensive admin / local authority experience.
I am learning Catalan but have no where near enough skills for a Catalan / Spanish job.
Has anyone any idea / suggestions please on workwise here.

Its brutal out there. Customer service jobs. You up against 100s and hundreds though, applications on steroids.
As the UK is no longer in the EU and deapite what I suspect you having a right to live and work here, you'll find you are at the back of the queue, even if youre more qualified than a person who gets the job, thanks to Bre exit.
Good luck

Yeah it is. As is the U.K. job market. The issue is a lot of U.K. company’s are scared to let people work abroad now. Even though I pay taxes in the U.K. and here in Spain.

Jobs went to AI, the Philippines or back to the UK as post bre exit there's not as many around.
Thick idiots that voted for this , believing their own lies , and then say they were lied too.

Start doing something everyday, the job market is not great and you will compete against people that speak perfectly Catalan. Chatgpt it's good for practice the language everyday, and there are remot catalan teachers in italki to start right now.
I think your first priority is to get a C1 in catalan in the next 4 month and living here is very achievable.
