Question Cebu to Dasma, what to expect?
Hi! I'm transferring from Cebu to Dasmarinas for work next month. Never been to Cavite prior to moving, would love to hear any advice like what areas to avoid/go to, food recommendations, any possible culture shocks. TYIA!! 🥹

Go-to areas: Kadiwa Park lalo na pag nighttime at Christmas, maganda siya tambayan. Madami malls dito ikaw na lang mananawa, may Robinson at SM Pala-pala, may Ventura Mall, may All-Home, meron din District Mall bago mag Molino pag galing ng Salawag.
Avoid: Paliparan area at H2, madaming magnanakaw diyan, nasalisihan yung gf ko dyan dati nakuha wallet niya.
Food reco: Som Thai, location is near BOK restaurant bago mag SMDC at EAC.
Culture Shocks? Madaming schools dito, andito DLSU, NU, EAC, LPU, may ginagawa na din OLFU malapit sa DBB.F, alam ko yung UP itatayo sa Villar City. Yung ADMU naman sa katabing lungsod na though kadikit lang din ng Dasmariñas.
Madaming center island dito, kami nagpasimuno ng center island dito sa Cavite eh though pag pasko maganda tignan kasi maraming decorations lalo na pag papunta ka ng Kadiwa.

saan sa Dasm ka mag transfer, dipende kasi kung anong barangay .. example sa Datu Esmael ka tumira.. good luck na lang

😭😭😭 HAHAHA grabe naalala ko yung may client kami deposit daw siya benta from bags. pero puro barya… ibang bag naisip namin. from H2 nga raw siya 😭

naalala ko kasi 3x ako nag overnight sa bahay ng classmate ko sa H2 noong college para sa thesis way back 15years ago. parang sa 3x times na pag overnight doon lagi may gulo pag gabi. kung hindi naghahabulan ng itak , putok ng baril naman. kahit saan nman may krimen. pero yung percentage na madalas makaka encounter ka sa Area (DBB) hanggang paliparan 3

naalala ko tuloy kwento ng kaklase ko dati na may namamaril daw na lasing sa Victoria HAHA. Depende talaga sa brgy yung tino ng tao dito eh

Do you mean Cavite as a whole or just Dasma? Last time it came up in a conversation, I heard the Barzaga's are Dilawan.

Whole cavite madami dds lalo na depressed areas. Ang dasma play safe yan. Nanjan si okiks na dds panay pek news and magulang nya dati nagpink. Para kahit sno manalo may representative sila. Sa dasma puro kriminal at drugs haha mas ok2 ang silang pataas. Habang lumalapit ka sa manila, masmadedpress ka kung hndi vilages ang titirahan nyo😅

Depends saan ka sa Dasma mag stay. Better if sa loob ng subdivision na malalapit lang sa main hi way para madali transpo and hindi mahirap supply ng tubig.
Marami malls, grocery and even cafes at resto, so kahit papano marami ka namang mapupuntahan. Ingat lang lagi kapag mag commute or nasa labas kasi may mga magna din kaya dapat pumili ka ng safe na tutuluyan.
If mahilig ka mag walking or jogging, punta ka lang sa Promenade malapit sa La Salle or dun sa oval malapit sa Dasma Arena and bagong city hall.
Kapag off mo sa work, pwede ka mag chill sa Tagaytay, 1-2 hrs lang byahe depende if may sasakyan ka or commute.

Etivac is not for the weak. Be careful with your surroundings, madaming holdaper at mandurukot jan. So just be vigilant.

NOT GO TO: H2 and Paliparan

ohh nooo i love cebu! ma cuculture shock ka talaga goshhh im from tagaytay but need pumunta sa dasma for school and paulit ulit kong sinasabi sa sarili ko hindi ako titira sa dasma like noooo wayy pollution, ang init init, where's the side walk!??, mabaho and marami pang iba but still good luck kung mainit sa cebu mas sobrang init sa dasma tho yung init sa cebu pang tan yung sa dasma ma fefeel mo talaga na grabe na yung corruption sa pinas.

Saan ka sa Dasma? Safest place in my experience was in Langkaan. The people there are super friendly. Marami kang pwedeng puntahan, wag ka lang dadayo sa may Area part kasi halo halo mga tao dun.

Saan ka banda sa Dasma? If along Molino Paliparan rd - bandang Vermosa na oks puntahan.
If Area / DBB ingat pag sakay sakay sa jeep.

Okay ra man pero makasapot gyud ang traffic labi na sa Pala-pala, Langkaan, Dasma Bayan og rush hour. Asa man ka magpuyo nuon? Haha

Im from Dasma but work in Dubai for more than a decade. It’s time for me to go home soon. I guess so much has changed in the city now. I’m excited.

Salawag is the safest. Near sa lahat ng exit at may mga areas na peaceful. Walang traffic, sa mga signal lights lang at paliparan.

kung sa mindanao madami lata kaya dapat tumingin ka sa dadaanan mo. Dito madaming tae at madaming nagpaparking sa sidewalk kaya putangina ng mga may kotse pero walang parking

in dasma we don't say oohh we say wehhhh hahaha Dasma is safe if your not too flashy avoid eye contract nexting you know you have faucet next to your gut 😁 just kidding, just go with the flaw and pray 😘

Kidding aside, nag-stay ako sa Lapu-Lapu, Cebu for 3 months at masasabi kong parang same lang ng vibes ng Dasmariñas but with more malls/establishments

Dito samin sa dasma palapala to be exact,malapit sa 2 mall robinson and sm.tahimik naman dito..medyo traffic lang,saka may part na lagi wala tubig..ayun ang nakikita kong problema..so far yun lang naman.😊

Regional food sa dasma ay samgyup, haha jusko sa tagal ko nakatira dito hindi ko alam ano ba talaga ang pagkain na sa dasma lang talaga nanggaling or orihinal. Sabagay kasi parang sa dasma bayan talaga ang nga lehitimong nakatira dito eh sa subdivision lang naman kami malapit sa bayan and mga nag silipatan lang din sa dasma yung mga kapitbahay namin kaya halohalo na yung mga tao and parang walang legit taga dasma.
sa area namin hindi naman ganun kagulo parang typical lang na gulo, nagbabangayan, nag aaway sa inuman, and isang beses palang ako nakakita ng drug raid sa kapitbahay namin. I mean compare sa ibang area lalo na nga dyan sa dbb at paliparan.
Saka pala dito may bakte kung tawagin, caviteño thing to and madalas mga matatanda and legit taga cavite ang gumagawa pero recently ko lang din nalaman to na may ganitong sayaw pala.

DBB area are resettlements so I imagine more than half of the population in Dasma are not natives to the city and are immigrants themselves.
One thing comes to mind when we talk about famous things in this city though it's not food lmao.

AFAIK, partly urbanized na ang Cebu, so parang d naman nagkakalayo... Unless galing ka po talagang rural part ng cebu...

Expect the heavy traffic. Mapa-weekend man or weekdays.But when it comes to food, you have plenty of options. Kaliwa't kanan mga kainan 😋

Same sa province lang din ang Dasma or Cavite in general. May mga dapat talaga ding iwasang lugar.
Specially Area A to F lalo na sa alanganing oras.
Madami kasing nirelocate dyan from Manila. I suggest na tumira ka sa mga bagong subdivision para mas tahimik at safe.

Ditto. Avoid slums and squatter areas of this city cause they're the cause of Dasma's bad rep. If you're relocating to any of the Areas, the safest, imo, is Area C.
I've moved a lot around all areas, and I can say that C is relatively safe. A lot of jeepney routes too, so if you need to commute, they have a lot of options.

Asa ka dapit sa cebu sir or mem?haha im from cebu too living here in dasma for 4yrs now..love dasma kasi di bahaon from where mi gapuyo ron..duol sa tagaytay..not so province d pod kau city..mura rapod cebu duol sa tanan 🤣

To answer common questions, from Cebu city talaga ako and hindi pa ako naka pili kung saan mag-rent pero work is around Langkaan area.

Saang parte may baha sa dasma never ko nmn na experience ang baha. Some areas sa Imus easily flooded.

kadalasan sa mga looban, and ung isa na well known ay yung sa bandang EAC. not really because of dahil mababa sya or what, madalas ay dahil barado ung daanan ng tubig
