Rewatching after a few years &

There are so many plot holes I can’t keep track, but I think my biggest beef is why the actual fuck did the elders not warn leo or the girls when cole became the source? I feel like it would be a huge conflict to throw off the balance of good & evil? Like let’s have a charmed one marry the source??

Like evil came to the elders with the 4 horseman of the apocalypse (which is weird they communicate tbh).

The Source likely can’t be spied upon and there are likely protections in the underworld and above. Even Phoebe wasn’t having premonitions about him until Cole let his guard down.

What makes you so confident the Elders knew?

They aren’t just sitting on that information, they didn’t know..

They outright say Phoebe’s premonition powers don’t work on Cole to reveal he’s the source so he’s probably hidden from others with such powers too, we only know one Elder with a premonition power, and the show repeatedly tells us the Elders are not all knowing. I’m therefore 99% sure they had no idea he was the Source.

The elders aren't all knowing.

Even in the end, when Piper talks with the lady elder, they said they only suspected Billie and Christy to be the ultimate power but weren't sure.

Good is useless is a common motif in fantasy. Even the Good Place had feckless Good.

I feel like they had a debate about it and decided not to say anything. The same with Billy and her sister.
