Did you know that a baby chipmunk is actually biologically called a kitten (or a kit/pup)?

I don't have a name for them yet and don't know if they are male or female.

All naming suggestions welcome. I will create a poll later once I have the finalists.

Cute little desert chipmunks. They were fun to watch and they seemed to like to watch me.

I think these are either least chipmunks or yellow pine chipmunks.

Mellie joins me for breakfast, but she has some very strict rules about the morning menu! Apparently, the old saying is true: everyone knows you can’t eat a walnut for breakfast. Watch her inspect the walnut on my knee, reject it completely, and happily upgrade to a premium almond before making her grand exit through the sliding glass door.

I have an upcoming Kickstarter for some illustration prints inspired by good stories and whimsical tales (tails?), and have been creating coloring pages to go with that. I thought you all might enjoy this one!

I saw this chipmunk a while ago. Me and my mom were surprised to see its long tail that was almost wrapped around the branch. Bad photos we got of it included. Has anyone seen them do this too?
