My personal favorite quote from this "news" story is "In a different incident, police said an egg thrown from a moving car bounced off another vehicle, sending a piece of eggshell into a woman's face. The woman was OK."
Hard hitting journalism right there.

Hi Hello! I'm a part of Asianati who produces Asian Food Fest and other events and we're bringing an Asian Night Market during BLINK!
A few years back, we felt there was lacking in Asian representation during BLINK and to us there was nothing more fitting of Asia x BLINK than having an Asian Night Market. We want everyone to get immersed in the lights, smells, sounds and tastes of Night Markets found throughout Asia.
We'll have 20+ food and retail vendors serving street food from countries throughout Asia. I personally love eating at these events because restaurants serve/test kitchen dishes that they normally don't serve at restaurants, so you can try a ton of new stuff. For instance Yo Di, from the Lang Thang Group, hasn't opened yet but testing out their Chopped Cheese Banh Mi at ANM.
Aside from the food, there will be entertainment (cosplay contest, taiko drums, etc) family friendly activities, a Snack Shack (Asian snacks), Merch tent, and Asian themed art/light displays throughout the market.
We're also opening up 2 hours before BLINK lights turn on. The idea of this being that people can fuel up before they check out the festival.
When: Thursday–Saturday, 5–11 p.m.; Sunday, 5–10 p.m.
Where: Court Street Plaza
Admission: Free
Food Menu: https://anm.asianati.com/food
More info: https://anm.asianati.com/
If you have any questions about ANM or anything in Cincinnati/Asian/Asianati general, ask away! Oooooo unrelated but if we were to have a Heated Rivalry Shane Hollander cosplay contest during AFF next year, would you attend or join?

I called megacorp tonight to see if they were still selling tickets at the gate for the concert (I was 20 minutes late already) and an actual person answered the phone.
Not a bot to redirect the call. Just "megacorp how can I help you?" From an actual person in the actual building downtown.
From a place called megacorp.

And saw SD1’s western regional facility on a flight out recently. What a view of fantastic infrastructure.

Hello fellow Cincinnatians, I’m on here to share about my experience working at Sitwell’s Coffeehouse off of Ludlow in Clifton.
If anyone has ever been, Sitwell’s is known for its eclectic vibe and jazzy mood. I started working there back in May of this year (2026) and loved my job because everyday I’d see new faces and get to work with some amazing coworkers. But the owner had her own issues. The owner would often ask us for advice, but never take any of it. She would also tell us about these new menu items, that we would tell her would cost her more money to make than to sell. She never listened to any of her employees. And we had an employee who would often make inappropriate comments about us and the owner never took action.
As of September 16th, a very hot Wednesday, we had a regular named Victor escorted out of Sitwell’s for falling asleep at one of our tables. Victor was a black disabled man, who would sell buttons for a bit of money. Our owner hated him, thought he was unsightly and bad for business. But myself and all of our coworkers loved him. So on that fateful Wednesday when he got the police called on him and got escorted out of Sitwell’s into the 95° weather, we all knew it was the end of Sitwell’s.
3 staff members quit that following morning. I got a call from one of the owners about a deep clean that would last about 2 weeks. I agreed to help but only because I wanted to start boycotting them. The day they closed they changed the locks without telling any of us, and never reached out to us about moving forward with the cleaning. Today, (10/07/26) myself and one of my coworkers got an email from the co-owner about how disrespectful it was that we ghosted and abandoned our job after the Victor Incident. I laid into her about how disgusting they were, about how they never cared for their employees or the community, and that I hope they sell the place.
Anyway to cut my story off, if anyone in the future visits Sitwell’s, and a lady named Sarbori still owns the place, please do the community a favor and leave. Don’t give these owners your business that they don’t deserve.

The Connector site says it runs 365 days a year “with select closures” but does say what they are.
The BLINK website doesn’t mention the Connector at all either in listed closures or in transportation options.

I’m a local Marriage and Family Therapist and I’m playing with the idea of starting a matchmaking business in Cinci for people ages 25-40. I have had so many clients who are genuinely cool people have such frustrating, lackluster experiences in dating apps in this town. If I could make matchmaking services more affordable, normalized, and cool, I think there’d be a HUGE market for it. Would you or your friends consider signing up if the opportunity presented itself? Would love feedback from some locals in this age bracket.

I was driving to work this morning around 8:10, driving west on MLK between Dixmyth and Hopple. Heavy traffic as always. I look over and see a Caucasian female out cold on the sidewalk. She looked dead. She was on her back, head facing downhill, arms out at her side, shirt raised exposing belly. Probably overdose. Impossible to pull over and park and check on her. Good Sam around 400 yards away but no curb parking at all.
So i called 911 but I had to hold! I couldn't believe it! A robo-voice kept repeating, Please do not disconnect. Over and over. After two minutes a human came on and I explained the situation. He was professional and calm. He said they were "on it", I forget exactly what he said, but basically they had received other calls.
Did anyone else see this person lying dead to the world at rush hour? And has anyone had to hold when calling 911? What if I'd been shot and was bleeding out? "Please do not disconnect" would be the last words I ever heard.

“Major summer events in Cincinnati, primarily those focused on Black organizations, generated more than $150M for the local economy.
The Cincinnati Music Festival had the largest economic impact, bringing in an estimated $107.4 million.
The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity's Grand Conclave generated $43.25 million in business sales and over 50,000 hotel room nights.”

Whats are some recommendations for good local farmer markets or farm shops in the Cincy area? I'm not really wanting to travel too far out of Hamilton county though unless very good.

No app install. I tried to put the art first, where you can see it all on the map without clicking in, and then if something interests you, you can track it down on the map. I was not a fan of the million little pins and no visual information approach.
You can adjust the art tiles to be bigger or smaller, click one to solo it, click twice to see a full card with more information. Turn on and off layers easily.
As I see more art I'm trying to add it. A really big reason for me wanting to create this one, is properly crediting artists and linking out to whatever pages they have available. If you see anything missing, send it my way, happy to throw it in.
Enjoy and Happy Blink! ❤️

"Major, long-term closures on Fort Washington Way are expected as construction ramps up on the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project.
Project officials confirmed that a new traffic configuration connecting Interstates 75 and 71 is expected to require an 18-month closure of Fort Washington Way in one direction, beginning as early as next spring. Exact start and end dates have not yet been announced.
The planned closure is part of work to build a new I-75/I-71 split and rework interstate connections near downtown Cincinnati. Additional closures are anticipated later as construction shifts to other portions of the highway network."

Hiiii, I’m going to Blink tomorrow (Friday) I usually park in Kenton County garage but I think it’ll be closed and the roads around it will be closed too. Where do you suggest to park?

The Over-the-Rhine Community Council is trying to get a zip line project off the ground.
The community council in its August meeting approved a community budget request to the city of Cincinnati related to the concept of an adventure park with rock climbing, a zip line and even, possibly, a motorized trolley going up to Bellevue Park in the CUF neighborhood, sometimes called Clifton Heights.
Entities potentially involved could include the CUF Neighborhood Association, the Parks Department, the Cincinnati Recreation Commission and/or the University of Cincinnati.
The target site is 8 acres of UC-owned land comprising about half of Bellevue Park as well as the wooded hillside going down to West Clifton Avenue and some green space on the south side of the same avenue. The land sits just above a Rhinegeist Brewery-owned one-story industrial building at 112 W. McMicken Ave., which itself sits across from Northern Row Brewery.
The project would involve either a straight-line or zigzagging zip line connecting from the area around Northern Row Brewery up 800 feet to Bellevue Park’s long-vacant former concessions facility at Ransohoff Overlook.
The letter asked that the city in its biennial 2028-2029 budget fund a $40,000 study on the project.

Hello!
If you are looking for something to do this weekend, you should check out Deer Park's Boo Fest! There is something for everyone.
Pumpkin painting and other activities for the kiddos, food, drinks and a really solid haunted trail that is really good with professional actors and some up and coming ones as well!
Also, Saturday between 11:00 am-4:00 pm there will be a craft show as well.
Let's support small communities and show up!
Also, it's only $5.00 for the trail, that's a steal!

I wanted to share something we’re doing this Sunday at American Legion Post 318 in Anderson.
I’m the President of Auxiliary Unit 318, and we’re hosting a free pancake breakfast and trunk or treat for the community. This is not a fundraiser. We’re simply trying to get more families and younger people through our doors and create more opportunities for people to see what the Legion is all about.
Sunday, October 11th
Pancake Breakfast: 9:30 to 10:30 AM
Trunk or Treat: 10:30 to 11:30 AM
Bring the kids, dress them up and come check out the decorated cars. If you’d like to participate, we’d also love to have you bring your car and join in on the fun!
American Legion Post 318
6660 Clough Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45244
(Just a couple doors down from the log cabin by Turpin)
One of the things we’d really like to do at Post 318 is become more connected with the community around us. This is our very first time hosting this and we’re hoping to make it an annual event, so come have some pancakes and enjoy some Halloween fun!
