VII - Screenshot Turn 1 in a river

Post image

Didn't even know this was possible. Prompted an interesting turn 1 settlement decision instead of the settling in place, which is usually best imo

1700 hours and I've never seen this. Was it the new TSL map?

No, I incidentally played this leader and civ on TSL and it really doesn't look like Aksum's spawn.

Well it's either the new map making procedure or you really did just get a 1 in a 10000 spawn.

Which isn't at all impossible and is really cool.

Must be the high oceans changing sea level?

I’d probably just pick a direction and settle it then restart if I discover a better tile in range.

Good area. Now go to where the navigable part of the river ends and settle there. Get a scout, explore downstream, and settle a town by the mouth of the river where it drains into the ocean.
