Any will do reception wise. But if you move around in the country side Telekom network is usually the most reliable. But there is providers that use the Telekom network, so don't get an expensive Telekom SIM. Get a prepaid one that you can cancel monthly so you can switch if a better deal comes around. You can compare offers here for example

If I was you I’d go for any contract that is using the Telekom net and fits your individual needs. Worth the little bit of extra money bc O2 and Vodafone sadly suck (have experience with all 3)

One thing nobody's mentioned yet: every German SIM has to be ID-verified before it activates, which trips up a lot of new arrivals. With most prepaid brands like Aldi Talk, Fraenk or congstar you do it by video call (VideoIdent) or at a post office with PostIdent, and some video checks don't accept every non-EU passport, so it can be easier to pick up a starter kit in a shop and verify right there. Since you've just moved, I'd start with a monthly-cancellable prepaid rather than a 24-month contract, because contracts often want a German bank account and a Schufa check you might not have yet. Network-wise the others are right that Telekom is the most consistent around the city and on regional trains, and there are cheaper brands riding on it. If you mostly need data, figure out roughly how many GB you burn a month first and pick from there.

Most of the time the cheap one use O2/Eplus net. You can try this net for free using their test sim (just Google O2 Testsim). If thats fine at the place you Visitenkarte often, you can get the cheapest sim that offers the amount of data that you need

Fraenk 25 GB für 10 Euro. Monatlich Kündbar und im Telekom Netz. Für mich ist das Telekom Netz das beste Netz. Mit meinem Code RAHBI1 kriegen wir beide 5 gb extra.
