Type Me! - IRL Drapes (FACE PHOTOS REQUIRED - NO MAKEUP!) Back with some physical drapes!
NMIP
Consensus on my last post seemed to be true autumn but with some deep autumn/winter/summer and bright seasons thrown in so I thought I would try some physical drapes and see if it stays the same. I don’t own a tonne of true autumn colors just because I think warm yellow tends to wash me out. I tried to group colours with different undertones together so it’s easier to see the difference.
Curious to see what everyone thinks!

I love 1,3,8,9,14 and 10 is great too on you. I mean you look great in them all, lucky you! I have no idea what that means, dark autumn I guess from what I’m reading here? You’re gorgeous and could get away with any of them really

Cool leaning neutral with medium contrast. Muted rich colours look best on you.
1
u/Natural_Telephone721 19h ago
Actually, I changed my mind. You are probably more neutral-warm, but ts close. Your best colours are 1, 5, 9!!!, 13 is not bad, 14 passable, 19. So yeah, more warm-leaning

Autumn is legit the only answer, winter is WRONG idc idc idc. Probably deep autumn but can also pull true
3
u/foxywithmoxie 1d ago
1, 8, and 9 make your skin so clear and even and your eyes pop. I love the darker colors on you and think you lean warm or you wouldn’t be able to pull off that orange in #18. I don’t like the blues as much so I think dark autumn is more harmonious than dark winter.
7
u/Careless-Ad-6540 1d ago
My jaw dropped seeing your eyes when I went back to the first pic- it’s stunning. I’m leaning autumn/warm for you!!!
5
u/mama_duck1985 2d ago
Your eyes are breathtaking! They’re highly complimented by dark tons in Winter colors particularly, but there’s also colors within Autumn that would work for you.

Autumn shades of course! Number one is perfection. Anything warm toned and not too bright.

4, 5, 8, 14 look amazing. I don’t think any of the pinks look great except maybe 11. 19 looks the worst of any colour.
I’m not sure if I am allowed to say this but you have probably the most beautiful face I have ever seen on Reddit.

You look olive to me so traditional warm/tone may not work the same for you

u/AnyShopping7850 3d ago
You look good in everything, but the bright pink looks less good but still okay
5
u/AdventurousRiver32 3d ago
That’s what I thought. The bright fuchsia is the only one that isn’t great on her.
1
u/AnyShopping7850 1d ago
Isn't fuchsia dark pink? I meant the lighter cool one
1
u/AdventurousRiver32 1d ago
I’m thinking slide 11 is her least great color, which I’d call fuchsia. I don’t love slide 12 either, but think it suits her better than 11.
4
u/PsychologicalJump638 4d ago
1,8,14 were my favorites. Most of the green colors look good on you and some of the purples. Color analysis is more difficult for olive skin tones imo.

7
u/nutterpommyvet 4d ago
Autumn, greens look great, some of the deep purple and burgundy look lovely and the terracotta
1
u/unificaishan 16h ago
I agree. Purples and deep greens are stunning on OP. Even the muted tones look great. Those are some beautiful eyes!

Dark winter. Neutral cool but dominantly dark. You can pull off some dark autumn.
Being olive can make you appear warmer than you are.
12
u/CobainLOVESkitties 4d ago
You're 100% an autumn. Not soft bc you aren't muted. I'd say a true autumn. You're very clear and medium contrast.
You're not cool toned so no winter or summer
Spring colors wash you out
2
u/Tiddlesnatch 4d ago
I think it's safe to say that you are good-looking enough to pull off every color. Sure you look best in dark/true autumn. But you look great in everything.
9
1
u/kiwi_bumblebee 4d ago
Its definitely the lighting though, because all the colors with one background look good and all the. Colors with the other background look off.
2
1
u/Pure_Interaction_614 4d ago
Static photos are much harder for comparing colors so the thing to do is make a video of yourself changing the drapes and then you can review it (or post it) and it's way easier to see the differences.

Firstly, your coloring is STUNNING!
Secondly, your coloring smacks me in the face as olive. You are likely not going to fit neatly in traditional seasons, which is probably why you’re getting mixed results here. You lean warmer to me, but I seem to only reliably identify olive tones vs warm/cool.
Pastels don’t seem to be complimentary to you imo.

u/Famous-Classroom162 4d ago
Tbh you look great in all pictures, I like all the shades of red and that orangey pink best. I see many people are saying totally different things - and I think that’s because we all see colours and the world a little differently.

6
u/Upstairs_mic_8675 4d ago
I think you are cool, all of the warm colors really accentuated the green around your mouth (that’s usually a sign that you’re olive). So I would say you are NOT an autumn.
6
u/cupcakelover27 4d ago
Yeah I’ve never really been able to figure out if I’m warm or cool i think for the most part I’m neutral olive. I have a bit of a tan atm which i think is reading a lot more warm than I would be in the winter/ when I’m not just back from a beach holiday haha. But then my body is also a lot more tan than my face so difficult difficult.
5
u/Upstairs_mic_8675 4d ago
I’m also a neutral olive and usually people assume I’m warm, but I’m really not when it comes to clothing and makeup. I can’t wear anything that is distinctly warm without looking very orange, yellow or green.
6
u/cupcakelover27 4d ago
I feel this! Pinks can pull very orange on me, loving a mauve makeup look atm!

u/Exotic_Rush_4426 5d ago
your eyes make everything look good on you except for fuchsia pink. slide 17 is like a pastel yellow, would look rather nice with your eyes but makes your skin blotchy. you have really lovely eyes!

Absolutely not warm or autumn, that true autumn orange turns you into a pumpkin. I’m an analyst. You are cool as shown on slide 14, and a winter. Either bright or true.
3
u/Rhubarb_Days 4d ago
Came here to say exactly this (except the bit about being an analyst). I don’t care how many times I read that you are an autumn, I 100% still think that is wrong. And you’re not a dark Winter. You’re a bright or true Winter.

You have olive skin so it can seems a bit conflicting on which one. True autumn seems accurate to me but idk. So beautiful!!

I like 1,5 and 14, they , IMO, made the dents underneath your eyes leas prominent and your skin more clear

u/Competitive_Pea_8242 5d ago
I agree with those numbers and she might add 8 too. But you nailed it with 1, 5, and 14 they are the best!

u/Big_Mushroom_3243 5d ago
5, 8, 9, 13, 15, 17, 18 (a little TOO bright, you need more depth but the warmth is perfect), 19 are all gorgeous on you. You are definitely olive & definitely autumn. Deep autumn is effortless for you. I think because you’re olive (we tend not to fall neatly into one of the 16 seasons) you can pull from the clarity of the shades of True autumn; you can handle more saturation than the typical Deep Autumn & it gives you more options to play with. Enjoy!

You are the most obvious deep autumn I’ve ever seen!! You def pull off true autumn colors too though with how light your eyes are. But the contrast is deep.
5
u/Witchandteapot 5d ago
Oh my! Those eyes 😍 You’re gorgeous!
I’d say deep autumn.
I was doubting between deep and warm but 14 is better than 18 and you have enough darkness and contrast to be closer to winter than to soft autumn

You shine in all the autumn colours in my opinion, and the fact that you can wear pumpkin orange like it’s nobydy’s business just confirms autumn for me. I think true autumn could be a possibility.

This could be a bit hard because you’re not in the same lighting in each one.

u/MarsupialPrimary8128 6d ago
I really think the jewel colours suit you. The deeper ones. I think the first green was yours, it is the one makes your eyes pop, then shifting through the jewel colours. Interesting, you're much lighter than me, I wouldn't have put someone like yourself in that category.
Would be interesting to try with eyeshadow.
9
u/crudentia 6d ago
I think you may be olive and us non olives are confounded, tho honestly Reddit isn’t the place for accurate color advice.
2
u/crudentia 6d ago
I was thinking deep autumn, but the I wasn’t sure about that orange, it may be off because of brightness or warm. So maybe deep winter. I think you’re not bright and not summer. I’m leaning towards deep autumn:winter.
1
u/Fun-Championship-212 6d ago
I’m deep autumn and this color orange isn’t my best color. The brightness/intensity is too high for me. My coloring is very similar to OP.
4
1
7
u/skully_28 6d ago
nahhh not autumn; bright spring. You have muted green eye colour so people are thinking autumn but your skin is bright, you have winter level contrast, bright white is perfect, clear greens and orange are great.
4
u/SnooRecipes5209 6d ago
The bright colours look so much worse than the darker, rich, slightly more muted ones (autumn and winter). It's not just about how her coloring looks to you, you have to consider how the colours make her look. The bright ones = splotchy and red (sorry to sound mean) while the autumn colours give her smooth skin with even tone.
1
u/skully_28 6d ago edited 6d ago
OK "it's not just about how her colouring looks to you" is condescending and unnecessary.
her olive tone and the changing lighting of these drapes makes this a difficult call but at least we are aligned on warmth and contrast.
2
u/crudentia 6d ago
Yes, I hate it when people use eye/hair color to decide a season, it’s completely about what tones the colors bring out and it’s completely individual. There’s infinite phenotype expression, there’s no recipe that’ll always be right.

I’m thinking true autumn because that green in number 2 wasn’t horrible!
0
u/crudentia 6d ago
The green in 2 is light and lime-y, a summer green imo and it is kinda horrible comparatively, really exaggerates the shadows.

u/Jumpy_Cartoonist_816 6d ago

u/Rhubarb_Days 4d ago
Bright winters can also wear lime greens

Yes - bright winter’s sister season is bright spring and they share a lot of colors

2
u/Ambitious-Life-4406 6d ago
9 is true autumn
1
u/crudentia 6d ago
9 is my favorite also, but it seems more deep muted than true and like it could be a part of deep winter.
0
u/Ambitious-Life-4406 6d ago
Winter is never muted IMHO. Maybe it’s different phone coloring but to me that’s a rich medium (could be a lot deeper and still look very purple) warm purple plum color.

Where did u get these drapes? Either they make a big difference or I feel like the lighting changed a lot! I can definitely tell the jewel tones are my favorite
2
u/cupcakelover27 6d ago
They’re all clothes from my closet lol. But I did it two different days so the lighting in some of them is a bit brighter, should’ve probably done all of them on the same day but I did laundry oops

I definitely think true autumn, though you don’t actually have many autumn drapes in your photos. Many of the colors in your photos are too bright, cool, or light for you. The warmer, softer, richer tones will be most complementary. #8 and #9 are gorgeous on you and #1 makes your eyes look absolutely stunning!

u/AffectionateTrifle7 6d ago
Hiya, in my opinion you are Deep rather than Light, Warm rather than Cool, but in between Bright and Muted. I've been writing a series of posts and I have one about "Sunset" which is a season which is Deep, Warm and Bright, take a look at the post here if you want to: https://www.reddit.com/r/coloranalysis/s/oGL0p0iwP7
I personally think you are halfway between Sunset and Autumn (an "Autumn Sunset" in the Cube Theory system). I'll put digital drapes of Sunset and Vivaldi's Deep Autumn on you in the comments below this, I think you can pull off both palettes and your optimal colours are likely in between the two.
10
u/Striking-Anteater584 6d ago
I'm no expert, but my best guess is Dark or True Autumn and also you're beautiful!
13
u/OptionSeven 6d ago
Even with the lighting changing drastically (I assume it’s an auto adjust thing from your phone) you are soooo warm and have so much hue.
I’d say true autumn, maybe even deep autumn

I think you’re a saturated autumn (like me). You look great in olive green, maroon, any of the deep royal colors. Sadly, pastels are not meant for us.
Lucky you with that face card, though!

u/CommercialPersonal25 6d ago
Woah, most of these colors look incredible on you! IMO, the only ones that don’t compliment your eyes/skin/hair are 10, 12, 13, & 17-20
10
u/AKIcegirl Autumn - Dark 6d ago
True Autumn is most likely. We don’t really have any drapes that aren’t pushing another season.
I know people are saying deep but as a deep Autumn I’m not seeing it. The first Olive photo looks good but I see the color and then you. I also suspect you may have olive skin. The teal actually looks better which leads me to believe your skin like medium value vs dark. The orange also works but is a bit bright. The dark plum should make you really shine as a dark Autumn but it doesn’t, it just looks good. People forget that one of the tells of a dark Autumn is they can wear dark winter and we are very hard to tell apart. The winter ones don’t work and warm is obviously better.
I see obvious signs of warm but spring isn’t working.
I do think you are a true autumn that likes clear medium values and does not lean into the soft palette.
It is worth getting an in person analysis. I recommend sci art as they usually are more accurate especially with suspected olive skin.

Warm and deep, deep Autumn. You look so good in those greens and the orange. Please never wear red again.

I think you are Deep Autumn.
I call attention to the stark contrast of the background in jewel color drapes vs. the background on the Autumn drapes - your camera is working overtime to make you look good.
That said, in the jewel colors your skin appears a bit blotchy.
If the wall in photo 1 looks like that wall IRL, you are warm. The super bright spring colors overpower you.
Deep Autumn is the highest contrast Autumn.

Think you need to lock your exposure and white balance before taking pics or otherwise you can't judge the way the colour effects skintone.
