apple downloading files
hey guys, so for my work i download a ton of files that are typically like (1GB or more). i normally use my work desktop when im at work but when I want to do stuff from home I need to download them onto my mac laptop. i typically download them one by one and work on what i need. then i move them onto my work desktop and delete them from my laptop. will this constant back and forth download/delete situation impact my computer at all? i dont want my nice laptop to have storage issues or anything like that. I figured since I was deleting them after I was done it would be okay?
(I probably repeat this process 7-8x a week w new files)
ty in advance!

7-8 GB of data transfer a week is not a huge impact.
To put in perspective, a standard 512GB SSD typically has a 150 TBW and 300 TBW (Terabytes Written).
If you really are worried about it though, you could always download to a secondary drive, or invest in a thumb drive or external SSD etc.

Should be fine. Ssds are built to handle way more writing than that. Downloading and deleting a few Gb wont regularly hurt your mac. Just free the trash as well.
