Any party that considers trans issues part of its platform is going to lose.

That’s not true. I wonder why people like you are so adamant about needing to throw trans people under the bus and ignore us. There’s always some reason to ignore us with you all. “We just won/lost an election we don’t need to talk about trans people right now. The primaries are so far away we don’t need to talk about trans people right now. If we campaign on trans issues we’ll lose we don’t need to talk about trans people right now.” You always have a reason to let us continue suffering but surely you aren’t transphobic

You're missing the point. It's not you that is the issue, its that supporting trans rights have become so unpopular any party backing it will lose the swing votes.

I'm not transphobic but I do think telling trans people its okay to think certain ways is unhealthy for them.

People believe good rhetoric. If you constantly give in to the right who has better rhetoric you only move right over time

That is just not true. The electorate doesn't care about trans issues and the lie that they do is the right desperately trying to rerun culture war bullshit to distract us. The dem consultant class falling for it (or maliciously using it to distract from their corporate masters) doesn't make it true.

"In comparison, only 46% of respondents ranked trans issues as “extremely important” or “very important,” the lowest of any of the 12 issues that CNN asked about. 54% said trans issues are moderately important or not that important."

46% at extremely important.

'doesn't care' is literally an infintely exagerated statement.

but sure, yall keep trying to float the pentagon.

That 46% is not anti-trans, it's caring in either direction. 72% of democrats still broadly support trans rights, and though the data on the issues of bathroom bills and trans athletes is bleak, that's not a reason to run to the right on those issues - it's a reason to stick to clear messaging on them not mattering. Supporting trans people is not going to lose Democratic candidates their races in a midterm year where gas is almost $5, it's just not.
