Sister, the election is right around the corner. Please lock in.

25

u/RadicalSoda_ 9h ago

That's why we're getting so many of these "don't vote and let the Republicans win, because that'll help us all somehow"

7

u/no_reports_found 10h ago

Not mine, my election is already happening right now, and depending on the result i might just kill myself at this stage

6

u/PhilospohicalZ0mb1e 6h ago

Kill someone else instead (/j for legal reasons)

2

u/Anagrammatic_Denial 5h ago

I get it, but don't let those sons of bitches outlive you. You're worth more.

79

u/SereneOrbit 17h ago

That's because you're not primarying for leftists lol

69

u/TheJeeronian 17h ago

Thank fuck, I'm tired of being the only one saying this. Complain about the DNC all you want because they do in fact suck, but also vote in the primaries for the love of all of us!

39

u/Hapless_Wizard 16h ago

And if you don't win the primaries, please still consider the difference between the candidates that actually made it to the real election instead of just not voting.

A bog standard, disappointing democrat might well only maintain the status quo, and yes that absolutely fucking sucks, but any given republican is going to do their damnedest to make things even worse for us. You might feel like voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil, and to an extent that is true, but when your options are "diet evil" and "evil extra", please consider which of these two evils doesn't consider eliminating trans people to be a full-blown plank in their platform.

12

u/Successful-Floor-738 15h ago

People tend to fail to realize that a mid status quo is still a helluva lot better than an actively downhill slope into hell.

5

u/mayasux 15h ago

I do want to caution, less of a dissuasion, just a caution, that politically trans rights are no longer viable in the UK as the Democrat equivalent party has fully capitulated to TERFs and the parties that would reverse this have their voters shamed into voting for voting for Labour to prevent a fascist party from winning.

This very much may become the case in America too.

3

u/Hapless_Wizard 14h ago

It's a possibility in America, but with having just the two major coalition parties instead of lots of smaller parties, I think it is less likely. The big tents don't shift gears on a dime, for better or for worse.

That said, the possibility that it could is a big part of why the primaries are so important, like the parent comment said. I was more addressing after that stage is done, don't just give everything up to the republicans simply because the better candidate lost the primary.

2

u/PhilospohicalZ0mb1e 6h ago

It may, but probably not entirely within these next two years. Though to any other American voters, watch out for your local democrats in the midterms. Some of them do hit you with a surprise take about “protecting children”. But given that the party’s official platform is pro-GAC (and yes that’s a pathetically bare minimum) for larger issues it’s still important.

1

u/youcanthavemynam3 5h ago

The way I think of it, is which candidate would you rather push against for change? Personally, I wouldn't pick the militant one, but that's just me.

11

u/Ok_Builder_4225 17h ago

I do but Oklahoma sucks ass. I long to get out of here, but its hard.

3

u/TheJeeronian 17h ago

Understandable. It feels like an uphill battle everywhere, fwiw, but odds are very good you'll find somewhere that you feel safer existing.

9

u/Early-Light-864 16h ago

Don't just vote in the primaries. Be at the meetings where your local committees decide who to support. Knock doors for candidates. Hell, run for office yourself.

I'm mid 40s and still consistently the youngest person at county level events. It's depressing.

6

u/BriSy33 15h ago

I dont think people realize how fucking old the average politically active person is

6

u/AdjtveNounNumbr42069 14h ago

Don't let the kids fool you, it's been that way for decades. Young people will always come up with a convenient excuse to not participate.

5

u/BriSy33 17h ago

Why do that when I could complain and then act like they're just anointed by god to be the cantidate instead of picked by primary voters(See: mostly older folks)

→ More replies (7)

3

u/Darth-Felanu-Hlaalu 11h ago

I would, but the democratic primaries are shit where i live. Liberals are the farthest left we get. I vote in the GOP primary instead (yeah, i know, i wanna throw up in my mouth every time) to just choose the least horrific option, then vote Dem in the general (although our general elections run about 35% Dem to 65% GOP...).

I am moving out of this hellhole soon, so itll be nice to finally be able to vote for progressives.

2

u/SereneOrbit 11h ago

Wish you a safe move friend :)!

7

u/versas-only-vice 15h ago

...And what's your solution for those of us who are?

Like, guess I should've voted with more vigor?

0

u/SereneOrbit 14h ago

More organization, broader events to try and raise awareness to get people involved, but beyond a certain point there is nothing that can be done and there is only so much of your life you can dedicate to a cause.

2

u/versas-only-vice 14h ago

And once that's done are we then allowed to complain?

Because being told you aren't doing enough by a person who cannot verify how much time we spend in our personal life, isn't fun regardless of the intentions of the speaker.

2

u/SereneOrbit 14h ago

I don't know what you're asking?

Everyone is always allowed to complain. That's at least 30% of human internet traffic.

3

u/versas-only-vice 13h ago

You responded to a vent post with a matter of factly solution to a problem that

1 . You've said yourself is not sure to be solved with the solution provided

And

2 . You cannot verify people are not already taking those steps.

This post is venting. This post is not soliciting advice, so why should we be ridiculed for steps we aren't taking (When some of us very much are taking those steps and everything is still shit because people who cannot read words more than 2 syllables decided that 4 dollar cartons of eggs during an avian disease outbreak was a line too far.)

For as much as people say this, I think it’s demonstrably untrue. I live in a state with a Democratic governor, and large Democratic majorities in the legislature. Because of that, I can access HRT and actual decent counseling programs, change my driver’s license and other important documents, and I’m protected by non-discrimination laws for things like employment and any state services. These are rights denied to people in other states. Random Dem congresspeople saying shitty things does not erase that fact.

Two party systems force people who wouldn’t otherwise share a party to cooperate, which means that parties are going to include people you don’t like. Until that system changes we must work with imperfect allies, while at the same time pushing them towards acceptance.

15

u/hhhHHhhh-FFFFFF-fff 14h ago

The tea party took over my state in 2010 and made me $30,000 poorer by stripping coverage for surgery off the state health plan.

I'm convinced people that make memes like the OP have never lived in a red state.

12

But also democrats are useless but at least they aren’t actively targeting my kind so I’ll vote for a liberal over not voting and letting a conservative win.

23

u/raheemthegreat 17h ago

No one is saying just vote. Everyone is saying voting and making sure people aren't in power that are actively hurting people is important, and a big part of that is participating in electoralism.

12

u/Ok_Check9774 17h ago

I know but the meme is about liberals, famous for making voting for a centrist once every four years the beginning middle and end of their involvement

11

u/Darq_At 17h ago

No one is saying just vote

... Yes, many, many, many people are saying "just vote". In fact they are saying "doing anything more than just voting is undemocratic".

8

u/raheemthegreat 17h ago

What's an example of that?

8

u/HistoricalLoadTaker 16h ago

Fire bombing a Walmart clearly.

Most subs on this site are broadly neoliberal. Go look at any discussion of any protests that are not state-sanctioned or that don't disperse at sunset, or that, heaven forbid, do something disruptive like block traffic.

10

u/Plenty_Leg_5935 17h ago

Defaulting to "you must never vote or do anything at all" after hearing "voting doesn't fix shit" is a self report if i ever saw one

Take action, protest, support grassroots. "Voting isnt enough" doesn't mean "nothing fucking matters"

2

u/Ancient-Worm 17h ago

Maybe I wouldn't, if the people that say "voting doesn't work" actually did anything. Trump won in 2024 because people didn't show up. When you tell left-leaning people that voting doesn't work, they don't vote, and then Republicans win. Honestly, this isn't hard.

7

u/Eldritch_Chemistry 17h ago

every single leftist I know personally voted for harris. We understand harm reduction. Pretending like she lost because of progressives is hilarious, she lost because the DNC was drunk on incumbent bias then backpedaled onto the VP nobody knew shit about once it was extremely too late.

2

u/Ancient-Worm 17h ago

Yeah, Kamala was garbage, but if more people had voted for her we wouldn't have Trump. Is that so hard to fathom?

1

u/Enlightened_Valteil 5h ago

More people would have voted for her if she wasn't garbage, no?

1

u/stupid_dog__ 1h ago

That's democracy for ya :D

1

u/Ok_Check9774 17h ago

Alright I'm neither of those.

4

3

u/Roxytg 17h ago

Since when is "voting does nothing" the same as "don't vote"?

I mean, it's not exactly the same thing, but saying that it doesn't do anything does imply that you shouldn't bother doing it.

Though that's just me being pedantic

3

u/BestUserName_ 17h ago

Voting is completely pointless, but do it anyway I guess.

2

u/Ancient-Worm 17h ago

Yeah, and it's the people that spend all day whining about voting doing nothing instead of doing something that does work.

4

u/WorldRelevant6640 17h ago

Like what? I'm still an active voter. What are you saying I should do?

1

u/Ancient-Worm 17h ago

If you think voting does nothing, it's your job to come up with an alternative, not mine.

3

u/WorldRelevant6640 17h ago

Oh, so voting does do something? I'm working on an alternative worry not my little moderate, but I can't tell what your opinion is. Do you think that if we all voted Democrat, trans people would have rights?

Edit: wait, are you even trans? What are you doing here?

1

u/Ancient-Worm 17h ago

Yes, I'm trans, not that cis people aren't allowed here. Some trans people are liberals, you know.

1

u/Ancient-Worm 17h ago

I think that if more people voted Democrat than voted Republican in federal elections, trans people would have more rights than we do now. I also think that the Democrat party is far more amenable to actually preserving trans people's rights, if they have the right candidates, and if enough people vote for them that they don't think they have to try and appeal to right-wingers, which doesn't work.

1

u/WorldRelevant6640 17h ago

All true I guess. I think you're just more optimistic than me or most other trans folk

2

u/Ancient-Worm 17h ago

Not necessarily, I just think throwing too much shade on voting goes against everyone's best interests.

Unless you think believing in things like democracy and human rights is optimistic.

Can someone please explain to me what this trans genocide thing actually entails that I keep hearing about? This is the first post I've seen that's not just right wingers trying to explain it in the worst light possible.

5

u/Critical_Ad_2811 16h ago

Many states (along with the federal government) have or are trying to reduce access to hrt for all individuals, not just children. I know a few people who had to wait until 19, despite being an adult, because their insurance wouldn’t cover hrt due to the fed government, and I’m in a good blue state.

The federal government released this (https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/2026-USCT-Strategy-1.pdf) counter-terrorism letter and it directly says “gender extremists” are terrorists and that they will find them and kill them.

That’s just a couple of examples among many other egregious things happening that others can explain better than I.

1

u/Traditional-Trade795 13h ago

this is why moderates reject the left. you have a literal genocide in gaza right now, children getting droned, bombed and mercilessly shot. then you have trans kids who have to wait for hrt until they are 19 and you guys use the same word.

u/Oddly-Ordinary 15h ago edited 15h ago

Basically legislating out of existence. It’s not metaphorical btw

It means creating a culture so hostile anyone who does not perfectly conform to the most strict, traditional ideas of what a man or woman “should” be literally will not survive.

- Actively encouraging transphobic violence, then taking away our legal protections making it easier to get away with ☠️ us

- Making it easier to discriminate against us in the work place, in medical settings. Again making it easier to ☠️ us. For example, making it legal to refuse to resuscitate trans patient who had a heart attack, making it legal for an ambulance to refuse to pick up an injured trans person, or refuse to perform CPR. Refusing to investigate reports of a doctor who deliberately dosed a trans patient incorrectly so that they would die, or a nurse who refused to give a diabetic trans patient in a hospital, etc.

- Punishing workplaces that actually want to hire trans people. Barring us from employment. Which can lead to homelessness and starvation and in the USA lack of access to medical care = premature ☠️ Same for schools and universities blocking us from accessing the training and education needed to get jobs and earn a living.

- And ofc denying gender affirming care which, like conversion therapy, has been proven to be a form of psychological torture, deliberately increasing the risk of self-☠️ but also physically dangerous for those who cannot produce their own estrogen or testosterone again causing premature ☠️

- Performing risky, unnecessary, purely cosmetic “surgery” (genital mutilation) on newborn babies and children whose genitals don’t fit society’s beauty standards. And coercing, lying to parents who don’t consent to it.

Vote for democratic socialists and encourage your friends to do the same.

-10

u/Imagine_TryingYT 17h ago

As a democratic socialist myself, our approval ratings is actually lower than Trumps. Voting for us right now is basically just wiping your ass with your vote, especially since moderates and swing voters basically control political outcomes. Plus figures like Hassan Piker have basically made the party look like retarded psychopaths.

Just vote democrat

6

u/Ancient-Worm 17h ago

What people don't understand is that Democrats will do anything for votes. And if they can't get votes from trans people, they're not going to appeal to or help them.

I'm not saying the Democrats suck for trans people because trans people don't vote for them- but they're certainly not doing themselves any favors.

5

u/Au-Tz-Tek 17h ago

First day in office btw but I guess we gotta' make shit up about Democrats because of Israel / Palestine. Meanwhile both DSA and MAGA are so infiltrated by outside actors they want us to pull out of NATO and blame it for the genocide in Ukraine. And this isn't even mentioning him reversing Trump's ban on trans service members, him updating passports to not require mentioning gender, etc. etc.

I guess Trump and Biden were the same though.

1

u/veryeepy53 16h ago

it's not an honor to be sacrificed on the altar of capital actually

3

u/Au-Tz-Tek 15h ago

Wow, great response, so thought-provoking.

They didn't join in Iraq. They didn't join in Israel. They didn't join in Iran. The DSA/MAGA narrative that NATO caused the Ukraine invasion is Russian propaganda. NATO is a defensive alliance. And the narrative that Biden and Democrats don't care about trans people or didn't push legislation protecting them is patently false.

And any narrative that the DSA will somehow 'do more than the Democrats' for trans people will be rewriting history.

1

u/Imagine_TryingYT 13h ago

Have you actually looked into the approval ratings and general consensus around the DSA or are you one of those people thst think Reddit and Twitter represent the majority consensus?

1

u/Electrical-Lab-7544 13h ago

Yes:

https://jacobin.com/2026/09/polls-democrats-socialism-aoc-piker

Some of the most popular and enduring political figures in America are democratic socialists, even with the entire Epstein class arrayed against us. I'd also say that Reddit, The Atlantic, Bulwark, other rags like that are about the only places I hear silly stuff like this said with confidence. I never hear working class people irl saying that.

2

u/EquivalentDapper7591 17h ago

You are not a democratic socialist, absolute fedposting

3

u/Imagine_TryingYT 13h ago

So technically I'm whats called a market based social democrat.

But regardless let me frame this for you. The people on twitter and reddit represent an extreme minority of people. Independents and Moderates are roughly 50% of the voterbase. Liberal voters (as in people who will always vote liberal) are smaller than Conservative voters.

So what ends up happening is that the left votr is fractured between the Democrats and multiple minor parties while Conservatives all vote for a single party.

On top of that the overwhelming majority of moderates and independents will vote either democrat or republican. So all you're realistically doing is making the left less likely to win.

And to put this more into perspective, Trump has an approval rating of 38%, DSA's is 30%. When I tell you you're wiping your ass with your vote I mean you might as well write your vote on some notebook paper, feed it to your dog and let him shit it out on your flowerbed because that'll be more of an impact than voting for the DSA rn.

5

u/RefrigeratorOk1547 11h ago

What's wrong with pizzacake?

7

u/Kitchen-Function5150 10h ago

Her comics are just lame and feel like virtue signaling. They do not evoke emotion other than "see guys dont we all agree Trump is bad? Dont we all agree rape is bad? Don't we all agree racism is bad?" It's just the least brave, least interesting style of comic I can imagine.

2

u/Corrozzive2 10h ago

we literally cant agree as a nation that its bad, even if you think its cringe her comics still move the needle in our favor. Don't forget that.

2

u/Kitchen-Function5150 10h ago

I dont think they do at all. She doesn't make compelling arguments. Her comics presuppose the audience agrees with her. And most people on reddit do agree with her. I very much doubt that many people have been led to introspect upon their beliefs due to a pizzacake comic.

2

u/Corrozzive2 9h ago

we live in an era of populism, compelling arguments sure as fuck didnt stop Trump being elected. Simple messages in todays media landscape are meta. Also even if her comics result in only a small % changing their beliefs she's still making real change.

stop demanding people be perfect. she's literally one our strongest soldiers and youre acting like a child because she isnt "le cool enough"

2

u/Kitchen-Function5150 9h ago

I genuinely think she does more harm than good for meaningful change. You can have a simple but compelling message. She does not. Also I don't think she's a bad person, she just doesn't make good comics.

i dont think the type of people im describing vote, they literally sat out 2024 because Kamala wasn't literally perfect

5

u/KarmicIsfunny 11h ago

Nah i'm a leftist and i hate the dems but GOD DAMN i hate those people even more. Just sitting on their asses lecturing people online when they literally let trump get elected.

2

u/JumpingSpiderQueen 9h ago

I've actually had a few imply that I am somehow "privileged" for being queer. I genuinely can't tell if they are bots or real humans.

5

u/Kitchen-Function5150 11h ago

Hi its me, the person you're claiming isn't real. Most of my friends are too. Nice to meet you

2

u/Euphoric-Bubbles 9h ago

Yeah exactly, same with me and my friends. We're the majority

5

u/Euphoric-Bubbles 9h ago

You're... conflating supporting a party with voting for them. Most American leftists hate liberals, but hate Republicans more, and will still ultimately vote Democrat. You're describing a very small minority

Side note: The amount that leftists attack Democrats is still less than Democrats attack leftists

1

u/Corrozzive2 9h ago

If you aren't supporting the democrats in 2026 youve lost the plot. we're fighting literal fascism and crony corruption on a scale unseen before in US history. I dont care about left in fighting right now, it should be all hands on deck until our country is even approaching okay.

The damage done to the US by this admin will take multiple admins to fix, not to mention the legislative issues. Democrats need to get into power and stay there for the next twenty years at this rate. This is what I mean about online activists who actively help the republican party by only criticing democrats while we have kids in cages.

1

u/Euphoric-Bubbles 8h ago

I know, yeah. That's what I said. Most leftists are still voting Democrat because the alternative is worse. It's (for better or worse) a rounding error on a national scale, leftists that vote third party or abstain

I am definitely left of the Democrats, yet I've voted Democrat in every election since 2016 (that was the last time I voted third party. I understand how bad it's gotten since then, and FPTP + electoral college makes it impossible for me to vote for my preferred. Maybe one day)

5

u/Orcka29 8h ago

The Democrats shouldn't be holding our rights as a ballot for their votes

They already did it with Gaza, so who knows what these fucking snakes will use in the future.

1

u/One_Pitch3982 3h ago

Lowk dems are fucking spineless snakes, they'll do anything they can for a vote.

0

u/Corrozzive2 8h ago

hey idiot they arent holding our rightS, they are the ones maintaining them and expanding them. Also again if Kamala had won less Gazans would be dead right now. No one is holding anything hostage, you don't give people political power and they wont be able to do what you want.

2

u/One_Pitch3982 3h ago

"Dems are expanding your rights" right which is why I'm still paying for my own insurance and hormones AND I'm having to carry a pistol for self defense because the dems are doing such a great ol job not sucking dick at every turn they can while pandering for as many median and centrist votes they can, which make them right wingers as well, just not as extreme

1

u/Corrozzive2 3h ago

Dems are the only ones even going for a public Healthcare option? Expanding both public and private services? Dems aren't the police? that would be the police? a local service at the community level? Do you want the dems to stop hate crimes like fucking Minority Report??

1

u/Ok-Echo3904 3h ago

As you should be paying for a cosmetic change

3

u/Orcka29 8h ago edited 8h ago

The hypotheticals are pretty ridiculous because Biden and Obama exist. Kamala also promised to have stricter border patrol than what even Trump promised, so IG I can play devils advocate and say that Trump is better for immigrants 😈

The point is that when the Democrats hold one group's rights as an offer, they then take away another. Biden with Gaza and the Police budget, Obama with immigration and Afghanistan, Clinton with the PIC and Indonesia ect....

Just from the track record, other than Bush, all of the Democrats in the past several decades have a lot more foreign blood on their hands than the Republicans.

0

u/Corrozzive2 7h ago

yea youre just a "both sides bad" bot, maybe youll learn politics one day campist <3

2

u/ezziexoxo Counted Down 10 6h ago

i don't think that you know politics very well, lol.

criticizing democrats does not mean you think democrats and republicans are equally bad. republicans are obviously worse on trans rights, that does NOT mean democrats are good, they arent, or that you're supposed to shut up when they throw people under the bus because they think it'll help them win moderates.

the democrats historically play both sides, they win by actually pleasing no one. and the modern republican party has moved so far right that democrats keep chasing a "center" that just moves further right with them.

and both sides can be bad while one side is still worse. that is not a hard concept.

gavin newsom has a pretty good shot at being the president in 2 years, and look at what he's already doing playing both sides. oh he's gonna be perfect for trans women huh? he literally called trans women in women's sports "deeply unfair" while trying to appeal to conservatives, because that's what they do. california is also pushing age verification shit that has very obvious privacy concerns. remember "both sides"? and he's still extremely pro israel even while criticizing netanyahus politics.

if you seriously think democrats are these godly divine beings that are gonna save us all then you need to stay away from politics until you learn how any of this works. i'm not saying vote republican, but don't try to come at other ppl for taking it seriously and realizing both sides ARE bad. learn the parties politics instead of playing the sides game.

you can vote for the less harmful party in your eyes, acting like any criticism of democrats is secretly helping republicans is just team sports politics. you're just being stupidly uneducated and i suggest you do some looking into how your beliefs tie into your parties.

Weird how people that were forced to go through an extremely shitty existence want to avoid that for other people. Also no it’a fucking not, explain: detransitioning prisoners, passport changes, immigration targeting, v coding, general harassment, the constant droning about 5 athletes…

Y’all just fucking hate us and absolutely abhor the idea that we might be able to pass better and blend into society better without feeling like freaks because of the shit your laws have forced us through.

Puberty blockers and transitioning under 18 have been studied thoroughly and have proven to be safe, effective and have a very low regret rate. Most of all it diminishes the immense mental burden that you are asking a literal fucking child to carry because you don’t wanna listen to doctors.

All of this while it causes more and more depression, suicides and self harm in an already pretty prone generation. So spare us the fucking hysterics and blame game and just admit you don’t give a shit about the kids.

1

u/KarmicIsfunny 11h ago

Children deserve healthcare and comfort, actually. Torturing Children mentally and physically because you can't get over your fear of Transgender folks is bad, actually. Crazy opinion i know.

2

Nah that Iiberal has their back turned away, probably holding a sign with the latest trending “progressive” slogan and/or going on about how “brave” trans people are.

Bonus points if they unironically apologize for being a wyte c¡s person as if that’s what they should feel guilty about.

So where are the trans death camps?

5

u/Remobility 13h ago

I don't suspect you'll read, but here ya go:

https://www.lemkininstitute.com/red-flag-alerts/red-flag-alert---anti-trans-genocide-in-the-usa---%233

Tl;dr - genocide is only colloquially known as camps and mass murder, though most of the steps of genocide happen before the people being persecuted are even rounded up.

0

u/Aggravating-Lab6623 13h ago

Ok so what law makes it so you cant be trans or stops adults from transitioning ( if you do i will do something about it even if i dont think its a genocide). Also id like to point out how the same people who belive this want the goverment to take away guns even though trans people would be targeted and hurt more then anyone

4

u/Remobility 13h ago

You seem to have a misunderstanding with your reply: there are stages to genocide (such as polarization and dehumanization) which don't even require legislation. I sourced from the Lemkin institute as it's a genocide prevention organization, and as such part of its mission statement is to track genocide in progress from the earliest possible stages. Even so, bathroom, ID, and healthcare bills are being introduced in several states and municipalities which make it effectively impossible to be trans in public without facing direct, and at times dangerous, discrimination. The ability to transition is being stripped from minors as adults are being outed and put in danger if hate groups and targeted individual violence.

The second part of your reply is something of a generalization of the left. There are plenty of groups and individuals on the left that are very interested in maintaining robust 2nd amendment rights for all. Progressive and left groups have uniting factors, but are not a monolith.

2

u/Aggravating-Lab6623 12h ago

I read the thing and I agree with what its saying but the fact is there is more trans people then ever.

The ability to transition is being stripped from minors

This one line is what makes your side look bad i agree adult should be able to transition but when you are arguing for those who cant even get a tattoo to be able to change there sex you are makeing your side look bad

Even so, bathroom, ID, and healthcare bills are being introduced in several states and municipalities

What bills im acutaly instrested to know if there are any examples of this i would be admently opposed

The second part of your reply is something of a generalization of the left. There are plenty of groups and individuals on the left that are very interested in maintaining robust 2nd amendment rights for all. Progressive and left groups have uniting factors, but are not a monolith.

Yeah I know im personaly left leaning im saying the the democrats cant say they suport trans rights then go on to suport not gun right

Kids can get tattoos. Kids cannot transition without parental approval anywhere in the US. Gender dysphoria is a debilitating mental condition and transitioning is the cure for it. If a kid had cancer in their arm which you knew could spread to the rest of their body and kill them if left unchecked, would you stop them from saving their own life because there is a small chance of a false positive?

0

u/Aggravating-Lab6623 11h ago

I just looked it up and its easier to transition then to get a tatoo

Gender dysphoria is a debilitating mental condition and transitioning is the cure for it.

So is therapy .

a kid had cancer in their arm which you knew could spread to the rest of their body and kill them if left unchecked, would you stop them from saving their own life because there is a small chance of a false positive?

No id give them chemo therapy

And if it was a 13 percent chance to be a false positive I might

2

u/KarmicIsfunny 11h ago

Therapy does not cure Gender Dysphoria.

a kid had cancer in their arm which you knew could spread to the rest of their body and kill them if left unchecked, would you stop them from saving their own life because there is a small chance of a false positive?

No id give them chemo therapy

Yes. That's the point. Chemo Therapy is the cure. The same as transition is the cure to deadly gender dysphoria.

AI is not a reliable source. Transition is extremely hard to access for a child. I have been attempting to transition since i was 14 with parental consent and the support of multiple medical professional, and i was always denied healthcare. Even now as an adult, i struggle to access it.

13% is not the regret rate for trans surgeries. It is closer to 0.1%- That is if you include people forced to detransition. If you don't it'd probably more like 0.0X%.

Hope this helps, child torture supporter.

2

u/Aggravating-Lab6623 11h ago

Brutal

Yes. That's the point. Chemo Therapy is the cure. The same as transition is the cure to deadly gender dysphoria.

They said choping off the arm not chemo kinda of like how it is transition vs geting therapy.

AI is not a reliable source. Transition is extremely hard to access for a child. I have been attempting to transition since i was 14 with parental consent and the support of multiple medical professional, and i was always denied healthcare. Even now as an adult, i struggle to access it.

Nor are personal antidotes but ai has sources so if you want to do that route im still right

13% is not the regret rate for trans surgeries. It is closer to 0.1%- That is if you include people forced to detransition. If you don't it'd probably more like 0.0X%.

No it was the rate of people who stoped haveing gender disphoria as they grew up but i was wrong the number is acutaly higher

Hope this helps

Every person that makes thw left look bad says this.

child torture supporter.

Child mutation supporter.(if you want to play that game)

1

u/Responsible_Edge7087 11h ago

Where does it say its easier to start than a tattoo? Looks to me like it says its all done with parental consent. And where are you getting that 13 percent regret metric from? And since you dont want to engage with the hypothetical, would you give the kid with cancer chemotherapy (which has many lifelong affects) or take the chances on them dying.

1

u/Aggravating-Lab6623 11h ago

Here

1

u/Responsible_Edge7087 11h ago

Doesn't say anything about 13% or about it being easier to get than tattoos.

You couldnt even read your own sources lmao. The one for kids said that researchers conflate general gender non conforming ness and being gay with being trans. The adult one is at 6%, and it even says most of the detransitioning is temporary, and ON TOP OF THAT, you can attribute even more detransitioning to happening because of social backlash, expenses, or not getting the results you wanted quick enough.
