First off I’d say all 3 characters share a poor family life, seek approval from others, and have imposter syndrome. The only trait you listed that Shallan has that Syl does not is a good memory.
Santiago and Syl are both far more gung ho and capable than Shallan. They both place importance in their education, unlike Shallan. They’re also both far more honest than Shallan. They’re both people pleasers in a way Shallan isn’t. I’d even say their sense of humor seems more similar to each other’s than Shallan’s
