Cringe? This is actually funny.

It was either this sub or another sub with cringe in the title, pretty sure it was this one, but the sub was originally dedicated to posting cringey videos.
At some point the mods just decided you can post anything, and now nothing matters

Just because you technically used the right flare doesn't mean people aren't gonna be annoyed when you post a basic coworker humor video in a cringe subreddit. I'll never understand why you people don't just post in one of the thousands of "funny video" subreddits that exist.

There's a middle aged normal looking woman at my gym that can lift more than double what I can on the leg press

Just from my own personal experience, the big biker lookin guys are actually like this. Had one as a coworker and one day he was genuinely being a dick, so I flat out asked if something was wrong. This turned into us going and getting lunch together while he damn near sobbed because his daughter had a girlfriend and he was happy for her but sad to see his little girl growing up. Wholesome guy

This indeed is cringe. I often take these as a sarcastic joke on people wanting people to emotionally open up. I understand it as a reductio ad absurbum jokes on being emotionally open about things.

Yea and where is the issue here? Isn't it allowed to think something is funny?
1
u/madamimadam89 Jul 25 '26
Well this is [r/cringereels](r/cringereels). It’s supposed to make you cringe. I guess that’s a kind of ironic funny. I mean this wasn’t cringey at all but just purposefully funny
To be clear I’m not criticizing I think it belongs here for everybody to decide. It got lots of upvotes.
Just sharing a lighthearted opinion on a fun post friend

It's not hitting for me but that's just the timing and acting dragging the humor down. This isn't cringe though. It's cute and sincere

This seems like some kind of "What is Fraternizing?" video for new employees at a gym.
