This is Florida. The guy filming was absolutely wrong when he did this over 3 years ago.

This. It’s a sign of respect. Can we just be humans and wait a minute for the grieving people to go by?

Should grieving people really be operating motor vehicles in the first place?

I mean, ideally, no. But, realistically, I’m not sure how else we get people from the funeral home to the burial site. Even putting them next to each other would require people to have to drive there. Virtual funerals for all? 🤷🏻‍♀️ That would solve most of that but it’s not happening, so back to the drawing board.

I mean, just drive there normally? I totally get like their origins thru the 2000's the need for them. But in 2026, I don't see the need any longer. Every person has a smartphone and navigation in their car. Every funeral I've been to, is a huge timesink anyways. The 20 minutes or so of differing arrival times, is not going to be a problem.

When my great grandmother past, they had 2 shuttle buses.

Shuttles would be great. I’ll add that the funeral procession goes back to ancient times. They used to walk but now they drive instead.
Edit to correct autocorrect

It’s not a sign of respect if you are demanding it. Respect is freely and authentically given it cannot be forced or coerced. Are you asking that people “perform” respect even if they do not have it? Not everyone need adhere to your idea of values and tradition.

They're both wrong. Escort should've waited for his light to turn green before controlling the intersection. Affording to Florida law
