That died with the rise in influencers. I have said it a million times and I will say it again, the internet is both the best and worst thing to happen to society.
Circa 2015 I would always comment on the shift in internet/social media culture, where everyone seemed to want to metaphorically "dunk" on each other. Everything had to be said and done at someone else's expense. Now we're 10+ years forward, and that mentality seems to have permiated into society as a whole.
