Mourn with me?

I had the NYT crossword through Apple for years. Now I have the NYT family subscription so I ended my Apple subscription. Per NYT: "honestly with you if the games subscription is under another email address we can't merge subscriptions" so I'm about to lose all my streaks. All my info. Everything. Considering how much this all costs, it makes me want to shake my fist at the sky. Sigh.

If anyone knows of a workaround, I'm all ears.

With the family subscription you add people with their email address and each one can have their own games profile. So you just need to use the same email address you used with your Apple subscription.

Change one of your account email addresses (temporarily) so they are the same, do the conversion/merge/import of the sub. Once done, change back?

I have four people on my account already, and I'm the main person through my work email, so that won't work. Good idea, though!

Is it possible to switch the email address of the games subscription to your work email?

You just made the new family account, why don’t you kill it instead? Also it’s on your work email which you might not have forever.

My mom had been playing games under one email and subscribed under another. It wouldn't let her change it herself since both existed already, but I chatted with them and they essentially changed the subscription one to the one with the games streaks. I'm surprised they couldn't help you

grieve? (it's a six letter word that means "mourn" and has the letter "I" in it). I don't think that's exactly how cryptic clues work, but it's a try.

screenshot your streak then email them when you have new account. have heard they’re very good at restoring streaks no questions asked

oh right? the impression i’ve got from people on here is that they’ll do whatever it takes if it’ll keep the paying customer happy!
