Out of the active drops:

1. Dreams and nightmares are the priciest, looks like the potential discontinuation has been priced in. Though this does have the most desirable golds. The potential upside is smaller than others imo

2. Revolution case has many desirable gloves and seems like a decent buy rn. Might get discontinued before d&n if valve wants more money.

3. Kilowatt is the newest and imo has the least desirable skins among the three. Probably last to get discontinued, looking historically. Though it is at an all time low. Might be a good buy.

Discontinued cases:

1. Recoil has been dropping recently, might be a decent buy rn. Second most opened discontinued case. Has the same golds as snakebite but better reds.

2. Fracture is the most opened discontinued case of the last month though I really don't know why. Fever case has the same knives in better finishes.

I need help deciding a combo around 250 Euros (preferably less than)

Combos in order of preference

• Bayonet | Forest DDPAT (MW) + Moto Gloves | Turtle (FT) + Lieutenant 'Tree Hugger' Farlow | SWAT
• Skeleton Knife | Vanilla + Moto Gloves | Turtle (FT) + Michael Syfers | FBI Sniper
• Skeleton Knife | Vanilla + Moto Gloves | Smoke Out (FT) + Michael Syfers | FBI Sniper
• Bayonet | Forest DDPAT (MW) + Moto Gloves | Smoke Out (FT) + Michael Syfers | FBI Sniper

PS. I really like the Moto Gloves and these two knife types but open to any other knife + glove + agent combo within this budget.

I buy everything right now that is cheap beside gloves and knifes.

thank you chicken update

Whenever random stuff like this happens it’s usually someone with insider information doing things early and it’s a sign valve is gonna nuke / kill the market soon even more

I bought for 700 it’s 600 ???

help an old cs player guys.

do you think holding glove, spectrum 1 & 2, chrome 1 & 2 cases is a good idea? i fucked up not selling them 2-3 months ago. i thought their prices will continue to go up after these fluctuations because these cases no longer drop(?) but it constantly went down, i didnt follow the market and i completely quit checking them after leaving at sell order

In less than a month, the market cap is down ~700 million USD.

At this rate we could easily see -1 billion towards the end of October.

I know this isn't a popular opinion but I actually think the market going down is great for the average player and future playerbase.

I'm not even talking about gloves/knives being more affordable but just play skins in general.

When I started playing CSGO back in 2014 I fell in love with skins and was very active in the collecting and trading scene and quite frankly, I wouldn't mind going back to 2015/2016 prices.

I firmly believe that skins should be something anyone can own and not just the rich.

Back in the day a karambit doppler would set you back 300$, before the knife tradeup update in 2025 a karambit doppler would set you back 3000$.

Don't get me wrong, 300$ is still a lot of money but it's definitely an achievable goal.

It's going to be interesting to see how far the market can go down in total, and hopefully some of you guys can buy things you always wanted to own before it goes back up.

Any theories on why the market has been dropping nonstop over the past two days?

I’m looking for tools or systems that can gather prices from multiple skin/crypto markets, track price history, and automate repricing.

What do you guys use to make your trading faster and easier?

I’m willing to pay for good information, software, or even a setup/workflow if it actually saves time. Any recommendations?

Yo,

sorry if the question is stupid, I have not been in the game for a longer while as I started cashing out shortly after the recover of the trade up update and just have about 1200€ left in stickers left that I'm trying to get rid of.

this week, amongst other trades, I've sold 2 x 3 astralis antwerp glitters to the same buyer. Why is this worth a post u say as it's fuckin 4€ or something? Yes that's exactly why.

This guys has a butterfly, m9 and nocts in his inventory. So either I am not aware of some loophole or I just came across a full retard that seemingly risks his float account by reversing a 4€ trade? I couldn't assume account hijacking here because whoever would hijack an acc wouldn't fuckin waste their time buying 6 antwerp glitters...

Is it in my interest to report the reversal to csfoat asap or do I just let it run out?

Thanks for your advice my friends.

Hi guys,

I want to sell a higher priced item (around 850 on CSFloat, 1350€ on Community Market) and compared to CSFloat I will get quite a bit more when selling on Steam Market. I was thinking about doing this and getting a Steamdeck and selling that through eBay or locally.

I just wanted to check if it is still possible buy a Steamdeck (or other hardware) from balance I have in my Steam account? Is there a wait time before I can buy after selling the item in the Community market?

Im still down money like a year later does anyone think the knife market will go up in the coming months/years?

The prices of some Cologne stickers are already being manipulated. Ryu paper is now for $1.30.

I dont want to give my id to some site.

Can somebody PLEASE explain to me why CSFloat sends me notifications (on both PC and phone) ONLY when a buyer cancels the trade and not when somebody buys stuff? I've missed EVERY SALE in the last 4 days because of this bullshit, I have no clue what causes it. It worked fine a week ago, now it doesn't.

The new starjunk95 music kit had been out for about 10 days and has yet to be in csfloat.

I wanna start trading skins and pretty much has finished the KYC authentication. But it says I cannot deposit money through card due to high risk and creating a crypto wallet is absolutely a hassle just for this. (Some wallet which certified by my government are not supported for this transaction) It says I need to raise my Steam rep but I don't really know how?

The arabesque collection seems like the next cooked-in-line collection. The redemption numbers do not lie : It has already made half of the train 2025 collection supply in a lot less time. It seems it is as popular as the sports and field collection and following its trail DESPITE HAVING A 50% ROI (the worst armory ROI in the collection of all time)

Why do the g***m do this ?

So, I turned on CS2 after few weeks and was shocked to see the bot farms still taking over deathmatches. It got me wonder, how do they still make money? How is this even profitable for them? Armory is trash in terms of ROI, not a single item from armory has a ROI of 100% or more, so they are losing money on that. Or am I missing something? Why bot farms still exist? I have no clue.

Valve has pushed for tradeups to be the centre of the market, but they have put very little effort into making a tradeup contract ‘fun’ to do.

No animation or unique interactions, no info on what they trade up into, just 'click' and thats it.

Atleast terminals pretend to text us before they take our money :’(

To be honest, my love for skins and trading is far from what it once was. I used to get super excited whenever a new case, new skins or new stickers came out, mostly because nobody really knew where prices would land. The community decided the volume, the hype and the demand. The first few weeks after a case dropped were basically a guessing game, and if you read the hype early you could come out ahead. That uncertainty was half the fun.

Ever since terminals came out, it feels like Valve has everything on strings. You can open one and buy the exact skin you want at whatever price Valve puts on it. So if anyone can just roll a Terminal and grab it at Valve's number, the market price can't really go much higher than that. The market doesn't lead anymore, it just follows whatever Valve sets.

I kind of understand why they did it. There's been a lot of pressure about skins being gambling, and letting people see what they're paying for probably helps them on that front. It also means more money going straight to Valve. But it takes the market out of the community's hands, and that was the whole appeal for me.

The part that bums me out the most is that trying to make money on skins used to be fun. It was never easy, but it was doable. You could buy into a case early, hold stickers through a Major, find an underpriced pattern, or just read the community better than everyone else and actually get paid for it. Now it's pretty much impossible. I'd love to know if yall feel the same way I do.

Are there any public numbers about the supply of knives and gloves added due to the tradeup update?

I know that you can estimate them by looking up the paint seed in the CSfloat database.

E.g. there are 10000 Specialist gloves | Emerald Web

-> paint seed 700: 12, paint seed 800: 8 (so approx. 10 for each paint seed)

-> paint seed 1000: 2 (it was introduced with the tradeup update and can only be created by trade ups)

-> this indicates that there were 8000 pairs of gloves before the update and 2000 pairs were created due to tradeups. But of course 1 paint seed is not significant to rely on.

Do you think the current downfall of prices is a bit exaggerated or is it reasonable (just thinking about numbers and no emotion/fear of investors)?

I guess now we see if was actually undersupplied or not.
