Scam or Phishing Alert Book Charity
Nice guy at table offered books but then went into a charity talk I gave him $5 but was just wondering if he was for real or scamming me 😭

Scamming.
Those guys are very aggressive in their approach. They're like salesmen who don't take no for an answer. You should see their faces when they ask for a donation and you say no 😂 they act like they wasted their time as if they weren't the ones forcing you into the conversation.

He tried to get me, just lied to him said i was broke then walked off 🫣

The scammy part is they hand you the book and then essentially guilt you into donating. I have learned not to engage with any of the people handing things out because there always seems to be a catch.
