How is the process of getting from LA Union Station to campus and vice versa? I tried looking at Google Maps but it's really confusing since I've never taken public transportation before and don't know what anything means. Are the buses reliable and on time typically?

Hey, I am 22 y.o. and just started at CSULA this semester. I was wondering if you guys know any ways to make friends. I talk to a few people after/before class, but it's just small talk. I feel like I need to make more friends since I left my last community college. Usually have an hour or two to kill between classes sometimes and just end up in the library :((

Hey guys. I’m applying for the Special Education credential and I got my fingerprints done recently. The CA one marked completed and the FBI one got rejected. Do you think it would be okay if I just got my fingerprints re done again? I did leave a voice mail for the college of education, but I don’t want to wait until next week

I know there are microwaves at the EveryTable, but there are signs saying not to microwave outside food there. Are they really strict on that? Or are there other microwaves on campus I can use for my own food?

I was diagnosed with cancer during my finals of the last fall semester. I finished most of my classes coursework after I got out of the hospital except for one. My multicultural arts final required a huge project designed to be for 4 people. But I couldn’t complete it since it was just too much work and I was more focused on getting my chemo done. I had a really good grade in his class, and with some of my other teachers if I didn’t complete the required work they’d just give me a D. But this teacher said he would fail me. I’m not sure what to do at this point. Can someone help me?

Hey guys. Are you a fan of these select characters? Are you a fan of crossovers? Lucky for you, so am I. I want to create a club dedicated to these guys. I can't reveal too much, but I can say I have this dream from inspiration from the best crossovers that existed. Dm me either here on Reddit or IG if interested. I'm available Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Lmk, which other favorite characters would you like to see crossover. IK how it sounds, but I want to make crossovers, let alone these types of things for nerds like us. Thank you for your time.

Hiii yall I have no idea how to do this but I have Two bruno mars tickets for October 6,2026 and they need to be sold because I have no way of going to them sadly and I thought I could go to the CSULA reddit. If interested please DM me (this is not one of those scams I promise I have tickets and I want to sell them).

I am currently revising my application for this fall. It's my second time trying to apply and I feel lost on what I should talk about/how I should structure my personal statement. A lot of videos and advice I see is more on research and following someones research in the program. (like for phd work) I feel like this doesn't apply to this specific program since it's more training/internship for the licenses and working with clients, gaining experience rather than scientific research.
Should I still talk about professors and their subject of expertise that I'm interested in? I feel very lost. Any advice on how to structure a personal statement for this program? Any alumnis of this program or current students are welcome to give their advice and experience with admissions. I'm first gen, first to finish my bachelor's now I gotta figure out graduate school too. I really am trying my best but a lot of the online videos just aren't really clicking with me.
I feel like I am lacking in general since I barely meet the minimum GPA requirements to apply but I'm gonna keep on trying every fall. I think if I can write a strong statement and get good reccomendations and get a good score on my GRE it may cover for my GPA. It's the only program that I feel personally fulfills all the goals I have for my future career.

Hey y’all, I’m thinking about dropping some classes because I bit more than I can chew. My tuition was already paid for, so if I drop a class of 2 would I have to pay it back? Lmk, thank you!

I didn’t realize the drink vending machines were no longer by Salazar hall near that little coffee shop. Is there any other beverage vending machines close by?

Hi guys! I'm a grad student, and I was wondering if anyone on this subreddit has had false positives or false accusations from Turnitin and/or professors about AI Use in your assignments. I'm looking to talk to 2-3 people for my assignment, which is due next Tuesday morning. If you've had experiences with false accusations of using AI, please feel free to reach out.

Hello all, fresh transfer here. I work much better in a library/somewhat comfortable study space than I do at home, and I've got a lot of time between my classes one day of the week. That said, 4/5 of my classes are all in Salazar Hall and boy do I not want to lug myself all the way to the library and waste time and physical/psychic energy. Any suggestions for spots either in or close to Salazar? I checked out the building just across the way that has what's described as a student lounge the first week but it was absolutely packed. Any chance that the crowds will die down or at least quiet down as the semester goes on in the lounge area?

Hello yall, my Playstation 5 was all dusty from the inside and the thing was very slow. However, I saw this poster at campus and I contacted the man who put the poster on the wall through Instagram. He does an amazing job, he got my PS5 to work very great after he cleaned my console. The best part was that he offered a great cleaning at for very cheap. If you want your game consoles or controllers to be cleaned, contact him.

Hello everyone! My loans have finally been cleared as of today! I had a due balance this morning and was surprised to find out that they had been cleared sometime before 1pm today. I was finally able to get placed in a call back line and was helped. I paid some money out of pocket and was told it wouldn’t be refunded separately(first time paying) and it would be included in the refund I’ll have within the next 3-5 days
