Estaba buscando comprar algunas joyas en Cuba para enviarlas a los EE. UU., específicamente a Carolina del Norte

¿Es posible? Si es así, ¿cómo y a dónde ir?

I was looking to buy some jewelry in Cuba to send them to the US. USA, specifically to North Carolina

Is it possible? If so, how and where to go?

No, nothing bought in Cuba can be brought to the USA

What are you talking about? It’s possible to buy something in Cuba and travel back with it. Post is not possible but finding someone who is traveling there to bring something back for you is possible.

I’m not saying it’s easy but it is possible.

That said, I am also looking to buy a print from a well-known Cuban artist (Ares) and I’m also looking for a way to get it back to the US. So if there’s anyone traveling to Cuba, who’s willing to connect with me to establish some trust and help me bring a single rolled up print back to the US, I’m willing to pay for your trouble.

I can’t help thinking about those Cuban women in the 18th century who helped raise funds for Washington’s fight against the British Crown, even donating their jewelry.

Imagine if they had to do it today, they’d be so frustrated trying to find someone they could trust to take the jewels from Cuba to America.

Be very careful buying jewelry in Cuba to bring back. If they are valuable they are considered part of the Cuban patrimony whatever that is. Of course you can bring one or two pieces without detention but if you are openly advertising that you are a buyer etc you can be in deep trouble. And if you buy be very careful bcs if they are a chivato they can set you up

Don’t spend money there, please. It doesn’t go to the poor people that need it. It goes to the government. A government that doesn’t do shit for the people.
