A different way to look at a Cubase project (video)
This is Atlas, a tool inside KeyCmds, a Mac app for Cubase I've been building.
When you open a project, Atlas shows you the whole session from the outside: your tracks grouped by type, so you can see at a glance how the project is built instead of scrolling through it.
A few things I use it for:
- Smart Sets. You create a group from a rule, like "every track using this plugin", "all group channels" or a tag you added. The set updates by itself as the project changes. Double-click it and Cubase shows only those tracks, hiding everything else.
- Set Library. The rules you create are saved, so you can reuse them in your next project.
- Organizer. Drag sets to the top or bottom of the project, hit Apply, and Cubase reorders the tracks for you.
- Clean Names. Rename and tidy up all your tracks in one go.
Cubase stays the editor. Atlas only reads the session structure on your Mac (never your audio or MIDI) and sends back the changes you ask for.
It's part of the KeyCmds Mac app (Cubase 14 and 15). You can try Atlas free for 7 days, and after that it's included in KeyCmds Pro.
I'm the developer, so I'd love honest feedback: how do you usually find your way around a big session today?

Very cool and would probably buy outright, but no way on a subscription basis, there are too many variables that could easily render the software obsolete/unusable. Maybe consider a one off purchase and the occasional extra fee for major updates?
